best example (imho) would be;
picture a small car with a small engine…… there isn’t much that car can do to hurt that engine…..
the forces developed in a larger heavier frame, can be more harmful to that same small engine…make sense?
what ends up happening is the smaller amp’s output stage will be able to drive the cones to an acceptable excursion but are not typically rugged enough to withstand the electrical transients reflected back to it the cone will induce when bouncing back to it’s 0 position…..interesting failure mechanism…
