I was in the USN 'canoe club', 11/64-11/68. Kinda missed 'em.Like every kid I watched them but I liked the Partridge Family better. Don't laugh, they did have better looking girls....

Bourbon can be for early-late morning breakfast (past experience), but it's clearly not for everybody....I can’t put more than 3 in my cart…
EDIT: fixed it… anybody got a coupon code?

There was at least one cute girl in every Monkees episode.Like every kid, I watched them but I liked the Partridge Family better. Don't laugh, they did have better looking girls.... At least there were girls.
The one who was a member of 'the Hollywood Vampires'* is the only one alive, not sure if I should have expected that or be surprised...Actually it’s three quarters. Mickey is the only surviving one.
are you turning this into a meth vs coke thread?
Looking forward to new music from Hair!Been busy with the last gigs of the year and mixing and mastering the next Hair album, so haven't been around much. Been playing the Vintage Pro and Greco 4001s a lot, and increasingly thinking I might put a thunderbird pickup in the neck position of the Ric to add more low end oomph and output. And @Gaolee and @godofthunder59 guess I'll be joining the Acoustic Control ranks, picking up a 361 stack this weekend!
San Jacinto area? I know it was snowing down there yesterday.
Pffft. My boogie road ready 410 is 135#But everyone knows the heavier the equipment the better it sounds, mine is 72 lbs heavier.
I do believe that I have been properly skooled and they be through…
I’m still not sure if any were set neck
yessir! we’ll make that bad boy sing like a bird….(too cool you are Marshall)…Chucky’s shop.
Have you read Keith’s autobiography? I think he was talking about coke (but might have been smack), saying everything was fine when he had a regular supply of pharmaceutical-grade clean product. When he had to resort to unknown stuff from sketchy sources things went bad in a hurry. If you are going to develop a drug habit and plan to live a long time, heroin is a better choice than meth or coke (as long as you avoid overdoses and don't mix your drugs). So to that end, my money is on Keef to be last man standing*
*last man standing meaning the last human alive.
Well, once you account for time zones, the international date line, daylight savings time, the backwards seasons of the southern hemisphere, and the time dilation effects of tube amps, it is always Thunderbird Thursday.Third rule of Thunderbird Club: It’s always Thunderbird Thursday.
I did read it. I think he was referring to heroin (or various other opioid substitutes). Pharmaceutical cocaine is extremely rare (I have only seen it in two hospitals), and requires a lot of paperwork, inspections, and security to keep. Getting any out of the legitimate system would be exceedingly difficult. Whereas all the opiates are everywhere and accounting is loose (there are acceptable 'losses' that will be overlooked on inspection). I also recall that he referred to 'mexican shoe scrapings' as the bad product he would use when he needed a fix but couldn't get any pharma grade - and the term makes me think it was relatively unrefined opium resin (black tar heroin). And there was the issue of needing a fix, which is an issue for heroin much more than coke.Have you read Keith’s autobiography? Upon further research, it appears that Keef has had both coke and smack habits. It appears he is something of a renaissance drug user...I did read it. I read the book about the time it came out. Recall that some were saying that Mick should write a rebuttal. I was left thinking that the rebuttal was already in the text. Who wants to hang around with a guy who carries a loaded pistol around and has a history of shooting guitars and other objects when he is upset?
$75 shipping isn't too bad.....
He created some amazing music in the early 70’s considering his habits. But it sounds like he was pretty hard to work with.Upon further research, it appears that Keef has had both coke and smack habits. It appears he is something of a renaissance drug user...
Yeah, I think difficult to work with is an understatement...He created some amazing music in the early 70’s considering his habits. But it sounds like he was pretty hard to work with.
