We used to play UNCLE vs THRUSH at recess in 4th grade. I was the head of UNCLE and Tobie (my gf) was the head of Thrush. I kept defecting...

Tokai and Greco instruments have always been rarities around me. I have held 2 Tokai’s in my life and never a Greco.

I was super scared it would be gone much sooner, not sure why it didn’t, was finally able to take the plunge a few minutes ago…. Still should be here before Christmas, seller has good ratings with mention of secure packaging…

Ideal technique and what actually happens are two different things. I get excited, dig in and bend sometimes, so there was some wear on the stickers after a few years.

I was thinking the same thing. I tend to dig in when bending if no other times.

Cuts down on shipping to separate them.

Easier to find cases that fit if you just leave the headstock off except when playing.

I ain’t complainin’ I have been on the lookout for ANYTHING other than a sunburst! I was thinking I’d be lucky to find a white one, I didn’t even dream I’d get a red one. Never been much of a fan of black hardware but I wont change it if it comes on something I otherwise like.

now I got to get some strings! And a strap!

Come to think of it I don’t even know what the scale length is…. 34? 32?

I ain’t complainin’ I have been on the lookout for ANYTHING other than a sunburst! I was thinking I’d be lucky to find a white one, I didn’t even dream I’d get a red one. Never been much of a fan of black hardware but I wont change it if it comes on something I otherwise like.

I believe Greco birds are 33 1/2, Rickenbacker scale for whatever reason.

LOL - that reminded me of recess in the third grade where one of my female classmates always wanted to play I Dream of Jeanie. Wish I met her in high school, would have made an interesting school year.

I have Boomers on one of my Greco basses, earth shaking lows.
The scale is 33-1/2”
