Thunderbird Club

I would have to look up the dB gain on it, but it works really well as a pre.
With a little fiddling, works half decent as a distortion into the tube head. I haven't tried it into the SS amp

Thanks. What I don't need in my pre amp pedal is a DI out/IR stuff/effects loop etc. and this one hasn't got them. And it's not expensive. :)

to think Keith Richards used them for guitar….

Get yer Ya Ya's Out is all SVTs.

Multiple

I have heard of others driving their SVTs into overdrive at sane levels using one of these…

These are discontinued now, so grab it if you can, supposed to be pretty sweet with the SVT.
If you don’t like it I’m sure you could get your money back on a resale.

The problem is they don't really drive the amp into overdrive, the mosfets distort themselves, I use an EBS Valvedrive with a 12AX7 in it, it sounds pretty good, I can even get that great Mel Schacher sound with it, an SVT driven to the point of distortion is REALLY loud. Mel used natural distortion to get his sound but those amps were 200 watt heads not 300. I have a 200 watt Marshall Major that you can get to break up without killing people but it's still really loud.

I ordered one of the Genzler "4 on the floor" pedals yesterday.
supposed to emulate a b15, svt, vox ac30, and an acoustic 360. Genzler and agedhorse designed it

Interesting collection of simulations.

I used an old zoom and the ones I liked were Ampeg (svt), a home made B15 that someone shared the settings for, Bassman and SuperBass - which I kept selecting by accident when looking for the Bassman… found I liked it.
I never tried Acoustic because I thought that was only for acoustic guitars…. :rollno::banghead:

TB Club has educated me otherwise

I don’t think vegan’s would make very good straps.
Yeah, their skin is too thin and the tattoos would be blemishes that one would have to work around probably making them uneconomical.* ;)

* all said in jest and good fun. I have no problem with vegans and respect their choices.**

** except the man buns, I have a hard time with those.
