Thunderbird Club

Yeah, no chance would I be wearing that. It looks eerily similar to this:

That is the whole point my friends...
:)

It doesn't get more industrial than this: a German eagle, a cog wheel, a German VW logo and paramilitary paraphanalia.... An Audi logo would count as well... :)

...but how does a fascist regime's logo symbolizing oppression, discrimination & genocide fit into that? I'm all for adaptation of military symbols for fashion, but not one that carries so much negative weight.

Geez... Get over it, it's been over 50 years now...

Everybody that lived back then are more or less dead now.

And we've had several regimes since who have been equally horrendous...

50 years, 100, 1000. Who cares how long it's been? Commemorating something as horrible as the Nazi party by wearing their emblem (even if modified slightly) is still not cool. It's still offensive.

I completely agree and here's why we should stick to talking about the greatest basses ever made, THUNDERBIRDS!
Speaking of T-birds. I'm selling mine. :( I just can't get a tone that works with my band(s). Going back to P's for that simple punk sound.

What do you all think I should list my 2mo old Epi Tbird Classic-IV Pro (with hardshell) at? I paid about $750 (after tax) for it at the beginning of June.

Hey-oh, I want a number. :p

An Epiphone Goth T-Bird is my bass for pop and vintage-y sounding stuff. It's an awesome feeling bass, and the action is lower than I thought was possible on a bass that can be bought for like, 80 bucks!

Anyways, VW. When I was little, my sister drove a '72 surper beetle, so I've always kinda loved them. The portland area is also crammed with vanagons. But the mkv gti is a good looking piece of car! And someday I hope I can get my hands on a mkv golf r32...

This is actually an interesting point, considering how many in this club actually plays Blackbirds with blatantly nazi inspired iron cross fret markers... :)

I don't see anybody get flamed for posting pictures of their nazi birds... ;)

And I just happened to like a guys t-shirt - Now, where's the irony in that? ;)
