Thunderbird Club

I don’t eat it. But if you go somewhere that has a “Full English” or a “Full Irish” you will get black pudding.
Yes, you can get morcilla at Spanish restaurants/tapas places or Spanish Butchers.

( I’m guessing you had “Full English” @Chucky Stiletti Chuck? )

yessir.

This kind of confirms I don't have any British linage. But am thrilled you liked it my friend!

:laugh:kinda grows on you when living in Britain and realizing it’s probably their best culinary offering…

Weighed both and by my luggage scale with the straps they both weigh 8.1 lbs…

I really wasn’t expecting mine to come in until June or July, and didn’t get a chance to save up any munny!

I also didn’t get a chance to order a @godofthunder59 claw or a blend pot so I’m leaving the stock strings for now. I don’t think I’m going to do bridge covers…. I love the way the 3 point and claw look.

I did get a smoking deal because the faux leather on the case handle had a defect. (-$400)

I could probably have contacted Gibson and gotten something done, but I already wrapped it with butchers twine and shellacked it.

Yeah, I'd have gone with the butter and lost the 'toadstools'.
I'm with you. I can eat fungus, but never had any that made me want seconds. The exception being when their "flavor" was completely covered up by something that had taste.

*And I like Limburger Cheese, so I can eat some weird stuff.

Reminds me of a joke about life in hell, the Brits are the cooks, the Italians run the trains, the Germans are your…you get the picture.

...police - have seen that! :D

Close...

Heaven & Hell

HEAVEN is where:
The police are British
The chefs are Italian
The mechanics are German
The lovers are French and it's all organised by the Swiss.

HELL is where:
The police are German
The chefs are British
The mechanics are French
The lovers are Swiss and it's all organised by the Italians!!

Bass tuned well, but I´d like to lower the strings a little more... any tips?

I think I've also seen a tip for the height of bridge screws, so as not to force the bushings too much and not to crack the wood, right?
Front screw higher, or 2 back screws higher?

It's been the experience here and the best practice to keep the front of the bridge(single screw) higher than the two back screws. Lots of folks here do their setups with the bridge lowered as far as it can go in the rear and the front high enough to give you the desired height over the fret board.

If the bridge looks like it's at a crazy angle then you should raise the rear but keep it lower than the front.

Will a standard Gibson style bridge ashtray fit with the Tune-o-matic style bridge on the Vintage Pros? The things I Think about as I sit at my desk at work
you have to make some little plastic spacers and spring the ends a bit to clear the centre strip. I ended up with twice the thickness spacer on the bass side.
Also make sure you order nickel not chrome to match the p/ups

Non-Sequitur (as usual!)...
Bass strings! I'm looking for something that's flexible, easier to bend than a stocky hex-core Rotos type thing.
I'm going to do a gig with a band with tunes that have a lot of high-energy, rapid-fire bass lines, and I'm in the pinch to get them all learned asap.
There are bends, position changes, repetitive and involved fingerings, and I think lightening up on the work load for the 'auld digitals' is a good idea.
So something with teeth that behaves a little more like Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Flats is what I'm looking for.
This is for the Thunderbird CP, my best weapon for this assault-style set... Thanks for sharing your wisdom, which is what we do here, and what I'm talking advantage of... :)
