Nice pairing!

So when you play out, are you the kind of guy that does a “set it and forget it” on the rig during sound check, then use the onboard controls on the two basses as needed per song or set? Or do you have a tendency to tweak the rig throughout the night?

The reason I ask is because I find the Boomers on my Greco to be very boomy on the E string compared to the Cobalt flats on my Goth. I’m not playing out like you, but I do very frequently play those two basses back to back and I get pretty different sounds out of them. I might try dropping the E side of the pup on the Greco to tame it a bit more, haven’t done that yet.

I've found that with a string or two as well, including Boomers on some basses. The Labella black nylons are likely my biggest offender and I plan on lowering PUPs on the E side a bit. That has helped well enough in the past with that issue.

Any burglars coming here need to get past the home security system that automatically alerts the police who are stationed about two donut shops away and will be here in 30 minutes. Then the perps have to get past a 50 pound Aussie that sounds like a Rottweiler from outside the house but will attempt to lick any stranger into submission. Once past the alarm and dog, there’s usually occupants in the house and always the potential for perpetrator focused kinetic lead poisoning. Of course this is California, so when the police finally show up - they’ll shoot the dog, release the burglars, confiscate all the guitars and arrest the homeowner.

OK, I'll send the Apple Dumpling Gang for this level of difficulty.

absolutely LOVE that track...thx for posting....other than for the occasional JBass and Ed King's strat, an all the way 'round Gibson band....

Allen Collins played a strat on a few occasions (might have been more when Ed was out), but you're right. I don't think Gary Rossington ever touched a Fender in his life!
