I like them. Almost as punchy but not as "noisy" on the top end. Nothing you didn't know I'm sure. But they do sound nice if you want to tame the clanky, raspy or finger noise associated with 66s, but like the general sound of 66s. For those who don't like the feel of 66s, these are the ticket. I don't mind the 66s and like the tone, but the NPSs do feel much more smooth. RotoBass (their cheap string) is pretty nice as well.

Any burglars coming here need to get past the home security system that automatically alerts the police who are stationed about two donut shops away and will be here in 30 minutes. Then the perps have to get past a 50 pound Aussie that sounds like a Rottweiler from outside the house but will attempt to lick any stranger into submission. Once past the alarm and dog, there’s usually occupants in the house and always the potential for perpetrator focused kinetic lead poisoning. Of course this is California, so when the police finally show up - they’ll shoot the dog, release the burglars, confiscate all the guitars and arrest the homeowner.

Any time my pleasure! it's rather astounding just how long we've known each other online and how much we have in common. Speaking of generosity in the course of our recent pickup exchange I was surprised by a nice assortment of goodies swag from Seattle Lighting ( the fleece jacket had a rather surprising effect on my wife!) and a number of books on my other favorite subject WWII aviation. So thank you my friend!

NYC EMD E8 is what that is, 2 V12 cylinder 567 (CI per cylinder) diesels, NYC had 62 total. One of the most famous noses in railroading too.
