1967 WEM/Watkins 24 fret ss - before: basket case - what you see is what you get. Original bridge cover but no original bridge - string stop only. (bridge it came with was a cheap beat-up Hofner type)

stripped the thick degraded clear-coat - frets needed a lot of work to be playable...

There is a lot of variation in “parchment” pickguard material. Some has more grey, some leans toward beige.
If you’re going for a faux aged look, it’s better than bright white.

but mine is a Chinese copy. Nice neck though and plays alright. I think it is basswood as it is light

Yep, the cart path was steep. It had just rained. Several of the cart paths were strangely slippery. Skidded down the path sideways coming up on two wheels before stopping.

Which Epi doesn't fit the case?

Something about the body shape is off, it doesn't want to go into the shaped foam. All of my neck-through 'birds fit great; I'll have to check if the other bolt-ons have issues, I guess

Take a carving knife to the foam

I made a Les Paul case fit a DC12 Danelectro by “massaging” the foam with a hammer.

I did this over the faux fur liner and was careful not the damage the liner.
