It’s interesting that a lot of us Thunderbird folks are/were Rick players.
White 73 and a black 75 Fretless. Both purchased brand new.I had a red 68 that I traded for a Boston Whaler.View attachment 4573054View attachment 4573055View attachment 4573056View attachment 4573057
Still have the white one.
I had two Rics over the years. I got along with them well enough and they were pretty. But I don't miss them. They didn't have whatever it is that Thunderbirds have.

As I listen to Frank Zappa’s…
Wind Up Workin’ In a Gas Station.
I say happy Sunday.
Much sarcasm intended, but hey.
You guys know me by now.

I’ve only been to a small oval. Pretty unexciting other than the noise and fumes; it’s almost impossible to pass unless someone really screws up (or you screw them up and get ejected). The demolition derby was lots more fun. I would like to see a proper NASCAR stock car race.
Anything less than a 1/2mi track can tend to get too many entries and become a revolving parking lot.

In the last few days, when I have the chance to play for an hour or two, I've been playing with a pick.
Definitely I sux with a pick, but I've loved TBird sound with a pick and bridge pickup (Oasis - Wonderwall and Beatles - Get Back). Funny to say usually I don´t like this combination, but I´m enjoying these days.

As much as I enjoy sitting and playing fingerstyle (trying to get better at it) I think a pick is an ignition switch on a Thunderbird.

Racing is fun...unless you pretend you are in Days of Thunder...rubbin' is racin' gets you tossed most places.

Well as is said in stock car racing, when you "lean on someone" 8 wheels are better than 4! Wrecking ain't racing, but I don't mind when people put the chrome horn to someone slower when needed.

I hope this is Ok if not I'll delete it but my 15 year old cat, Gata is probably not long for this world either. She has four or five tumors in her liver but she's eating well and isn't in any pain. She's on some medicine and has been seeing the vet a lot, I don't know if it's cancer they said she's too old for a biopsy. I've had her since she was a little kitty and she's really attached to me. She's an international traveler and is bilingual, she knows her name in two languages  but I'll really miss her when she's gone, we've been through a lot together.
Many of us here completely understand and feel for you.
