Here is my rig--Thunderfunk TFB550-B with an Eden D410T. They sound so good I have two sets of these! Best amp out there!

I just did a hang with a buddy of mine in Detroit.. amazing bassist named Mike Harrington. He has a Thunderfunk 550b, and wanted to try out my AE410 with it. My buddy TBer Burk has also brought his 550a over to check out with that cab.

I'll tell you what, that is a combination that is just simply stunning... round, tight, articulate, and the aggressiveness of that cab up top just yin yangs with the smooth, warm, clean voicing of the TF.

For you TF550 lovers.... get ye an AE410 if you want it loud, punchy, and just a touch brighter up in the upper mids than many other 410's. Really something.

I just got an Accugroove Whappo Jr. and a Mesa M6. I've had my TFB550A for a while now.

An incredible cab. And two incredible amps. :hyper:

The Whappo Jr. is another really nice match with that head... bigger low end and a bit less aggressive up top than the AE410. That M6 is quite something also... a little bit 'too much of a good thing' for me personally (i.e., deep low end, sizzly up top), but I could sure live with it!

This is the first time I played through a Berg cab. I have read all the great reviews of them, but you really have to play one to appreciate it.

My Aggies sound great and I wouldn't part with them for anything, but after playing the HT112, it's got me wanting to get another to pair with it.

Just ordered my THB 750a from Glen at Bass Specialties. On it way to me as we speak! Woo Hoo!:hyper::hyper::bassist:

Bet you got it. Isn't it amazing.Use it with every cabinet I got.
Can't say which cabinet it would sound best as it is being switched so often. Having both the 550B and the 750A I find it difficult to make a judgement as to which cabinets it matches best with. If one becomes adventurous you can find that sweet spot regularly with many of the favorite cabinets here. There are so many amps and cabinets coming out that I am just about done with buying any other amp. Im comfortable with it and it is very versatile. To me its pretty amazing it does not have a tube.

I'm a proud T-funk owner. I have been using my 750 for about a year and a half, and it has done pretty much everything I could want it too. I am using it primarily with a NV 610, though I would love to experiment with some other cabinets in time. I'm thinking of investing in something a bit more portable for smaller venues and such....

I have had a little trouble in the last six months with a buzzing sound the amp is making. I e-mailed Dave about it, he said not to worry about it and sent me some specs for the amp. Those specs don't mean anything to me! Whatever the problem is doesn't seem to affect the tone or overall performance of the head, although the other night I was rehearsing after not using the head for awhile and it didn't seem to have the power it usually does. My issue is I don't have a backup amp to speak of at the moment! I could dig out my old peavey head, but i dunno....

Anyhow, minor issues aside, the amp is amazing and I haven't even considered replacing it at this point. And big ups to TB for turning me onto it in the first place!

I've got a 550 coming in, so I'm going to wake this thread up. I've been GASing for a 'Funk for years, and the right trade deal came along.

It will be competing for gig time with my Shuttle 9.0, in which case I'll be running it through the two Eden 210XST cabs shown below, or else through my surprisingly good sounding Avatar 210/112 stack at the studio.

Please bid me welcome. ;)
