Time for a stool!

I always stand when I play at church, but in my last band we all sat because two members couldn't stand that long. My current band has seven members and most of us sit. There are times when I prefer to stand, but long gigs remind me of my teen years setting bowling pins three nights a week; lots of bending and lifting that my back makes sure I can't forget. I have one of those folding stools mentioned earlier; it works fine until my butt gets numb. When that happens I stand for a while.

Thump on,

I can relate to that ! I used to run around on stage. I'm only 50 and look 40. Now I have arthritis and until I get a new knee, I have to sit. It's not very rock n roll, but as long as I'm next to the drummer, no one will notice. Anyway, I'm JUST the bass player ; I'm not important. :)

When you stand at church, you're closer to God :)
