Definitely not to me. I use them on 4 basses and all have even output across all strings.
Output has way more to do with pickup height than the strings themselves. Yes, some strings are quieter than others, but it's almost always the ultra-cheap shop strings that ultra-cheap basses come with that have low output, and to get balanced output, all you need to do is adjust the pickups.
Well I think these are the strings in supposed to play. My limited experience in my basement (through headphones and through Acoustic B20 amp) is that these strings are the stuff. Loving them so far!

In a word, yes although I find that it's the nature of the bass beast
Not a deal breaker though as these are great sounding strings. I usually use 45-130 sets but I like the 125 B string an the 95 E string. I would ultimately like these in: 125, 95, 80, 65 and 45.
I ordered 2 packs of nickels and 2 of SS and according to the usps site, they were delivered at 11:48 this morning; unfortunately they're no where to be found

Based on the pricing on the order I just placed for 12 x nickel SB 5 string sets (and some single C strings), these are a total no brainer from BSO. Cheaper than D'Addario, GHS... Hell, cheaper than crappy Walmart Rocker strings.
Anyone that hasn't trued these strings needs to buy some now. The pricing is stupid cheap. AND they are killer strings.

No matter what different types of strings I have switched to, and completely regardless of the diameter, I have always had to adjust the pickups to get the balance between strings right. It's just something you have to do when you change your strings up. Judging output when you haven't done this is no definitive statement of their output.

But, then there is quality of ouput- loud and muddy, or lesser, but more defined.
I agree, price for these strings is crazy. Wish the shipping was faster I would buy other stuff from this company..lol I bought 12 sets as well but wouldn't consider if I was needing strings in a hurry.
Whaaat? If Bass Strings Online shipped any faster, they'd be in your mailbox before you ordered them.
Exactly the same situation with me. Great pricing and amazing people to deal with, but Amazon they ain't.
I ordered my strings a week ago to be shipped to a hotel I am staying at in the U.S. next weekend. Two week window for strings that are in stock shouldn't be an issue.
My experiences haven't been very fast but I am in eastern Canada and they are in California. Out of stock issues and things that at just happen with weird custom orders didn't help.
I am ordering all of my strings from BSO, but I woundnt be comfortable ordering from them if I needed strings in less than a week.
Oh yeah, international shipping will always slow things down. Customs does not get in any hurry!
I have found that Amazon and BestBuy are the only companies I can depend on to ship me stuff in 24-48 hours with consistency. I would never order strings from either of them though.
That's why I generally order 10-12 sets at a time once or twice a year.... No urgency!
Haha I wish. It wasn't that bad I have just had more consistency with other companies. First order took 4 days second order took 6 days. I've used another online company and they have always arrived at my house in 2-3 days and they are on the east cost. Not bad and I wouldn't pass up a deal like this but didn't win me over as a customer.
I put up with a few extra days as BSO is super responsive and helpful. I think I emailed Jason 10 times regarding my current order before I placed it. Lot of his time for $<$150 in low margin revenue.
I'm in Michigan, and it's never taken longer than 4 days to get a shipment from BSO. Combine that with his pricing for TB members and free shipping and I am saving about 40% on what I used to pay at GC. Plus I don't have to drive there so it saves me time too. I love BSO!
