Time to switch to Dunlop Super Brights!!!

Ok, put a set of the stainless on my Rick, first band rehearsal was last night. The band and I were quite impressed! Very aggressive in the upper mids and highs like Roto Swing bass, but heavier bottom, like LaBella's. These strings sound "complete" to me, in that there was no tonal aspect lacking, and the note definition was exceptional. Easy to back off them, dial out the treble and get a smooth mellow tone too. Very happy so far, waiting to see how long the sound like this, and more importantly, what they sound like AFTER the honeymoon. But so far, holy schmoly!
I also bought some nickels, those will go on my Jazz next string change. I have ss DR Hi-Beams on there right now and it sounds a bit scooped, I think the nickels will sound great on it.

I bought a couple of sets of nickels from Bass Strings Online due to the suggestions in this thread (I usually use DR's or D'Addario XL's). Can't wait to try them out! 
I am going to order a dozen 5er NPS light sets and a few single C strings as soon as Jason sends me the final cost.
I usually buy Fodera strings direct in 10 packs when they have a NAMM special (usually under $20 a 5 string set) but these are waaayyyyy cheaper. I can't pass up these strings at $12-13 a set!

Odd that Dunlop doesn't have a light gauge 6 string set. But I think you'll like these if you like Fodera's.
Great strings! I've put them on my j and p (nickels). I was using DR lo riders for the last 5 years. Those super brights might change that!
I've been using Ken Smith Bass Burners .040 - .100 for a few years and like them a lot. How do the Dunlops compare in sound, feel and tension?
If you compare apples to apples (40-100 Super Brights), the SuperBrights have less tension, a brighter and clearer sound. If you want the tension to stay close to the same, get the 45-105 SuperBrights.
Impression so far : vs. the steels. The Steels are brighter, and fingerstyle has more growl, fret noise, and sizzle as expected, but slappin' and poppin is actually very very nice with the nickels, just less cut through fingerstyle. Will probably stick with the steels next order.
Mine are probably sitting down at the post office - can't stop until Thursday though. I'm anxious to compare them to my usual go to strings - Prosteels.
I havent gotten mine and it has been over a week. No response from BSO. Did he take a vacation maybe?

I usually play DR Sunbeams or D'Addario XL's. 45-105. IMO, if both of those strings morphed together, it would be the Super Brights!
Feel: Slightly more tension than the DR's and slightly less than the D'Addario's. They don't feel rough to me at all either. Again, somewhere in the middle of the DR's and XL's. They do have that thump that you can get from lower tension strings, if you know what I'm talking about. It's almost like when you dig in more, they bounce back in a cool way. To me, the strings feel very balanced as well.
Sound: Spot on assessment in this thread. They are not super bright, but they do have a zing to them. The sound reminds me of double ball end Steinberger strings. Clear is an excellent way of describing them. mmbongo is exactly right IMO.
The most obvious increase in clarity comes when playing finger style. It's not as noticeable playing with a pick, but with fingers, the articulation you can get is amazing (to me at least).
The coolest part of testing these strings was when it came to recording. I didn't adjust my P-Bass at all when I put these on (due to the gauges being the same as my XL's) and even without an adjustment, the sound is now more even. You can actually see this on the screen via the waveforms. Pretty neat!
Anyway, I just wanted to share my experience with these strings, Bass Strings Online (FAST Shipping and great service) and also to say thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread!

I don't have an account so I'm not sure. I definitely did email, haven't heard back which is why I figure he is on vacation since its that time of year.
Hoping to have them in the next few days, but the slow shipping may not always work for me. If I can plan ahead its not a huge deal but sometimes I need things a little faster than 7-8 days.
I hate going to GC over an indie, but that may be easier.
Haven't played SS in forever but the price is so cheap I'm going to add some to my order. Your description I s encouraging.
As I've stated before the nickels are excellent, something very addicting about playing them (i.e. they are laced with drugs; brilliant!drool). Saw Paul Tuners promo clip and he described the nickels as sounding like well broke-in stainless string and I fully agree. Great description. Mine still sound great after a couple weeks use. So nice to not have a dead E string after a week, my last 4 sets of DR's E (Nickel low riders & Pure blues) died quick. So happy to have finally found these.
