I don't know. man. I'm not completely convinced that wasn't playing to tracks and faking it on the "bass". That is, unless that "thing" has a low E string on both the top and bottom.

*sigh*
Weight?
How does it balance on a strap?
Would he ship to Belgium?
It looks like it has a strap button right on the middle of the neck. Unconventional, but you are not going to put your thumb over it anyway. It's probably as heavy as a small car, but it might actually balance nicely.
I’m guessing I’d probably better ditch the “floating thumb” technique and dive into the “floating forearm” style of muting then!!!!!![]()
This beast is not to be called a bass guitar. You can't play a normal bass parts, because you can't reach the needed strings.
it looks like that bass came from aliexpress

Only 11 strings here but it's no joke.
WARNING: not everybody's cup of tea.
Yeah, they're not really basses any more, they're full range instruments. I think of them as fretted harps. This beast is not to be called a bass guitar. You can't play a normal bass parts, because you can't reach the needed strings.
Source? I think they've been playing with track (with at least a click) since they added all of the synths in the early 80s. I'm fairly certain they even track the lead vocals on songs that BFG can't sing anymore (i.e. Legs)... Go listen to the Raw album.I checked the internet on that, and it turns out you're wrong.
