Tool tone/FX sticky thread ver. 1

I just got some OGG iso tracks for a few Tool songs... Now if I only had a way to host 'em, I'd put em up here!

I think I have Parabola, Schism and Vicarious and maybe 1 more.
Pretty awesome stuff. And IMO shows just how awesome his 10K Days standalone tone is compared to Lateralus and prior.

yea...those have been around for a cpl years...

Not modded, just an old LM308 Turbo Rat.

I have had 5 diff types of Rats since 2007 (two of them Turbo's) and with the Dunlop vid pedal settings they sounded like tard!

Always gone back to my modded LM RatII...I can't say I have seen any vid anywhere that has that sounds closer to the studio recording than the Rat I use...so my money is on a mod!

The others where not even CLOSE!

Hey Thom....any update for me? I still think there is a routing issue that we don't know about

I had my FULL rig running yesterday sounding pretty good and that mxr/br2 still sound wayyyy wrong infront of the Tonebender :-(

Not yet, he's a busy cat. I'm going out of town for the weekend, but will touch base next week with him.

Well a month ago i thought i was done my tribute rig (im glad i didnt glue my tolex to the new board)
I noticed that in the Dunlop video that the Overdrive ("B" Channel) on the Dirty Chain had a setting to it (and the head for the Clean Channel this was all at zero). I would imagine since Justin does not have a GK selector on his board that Chris (bass tech) activates the overdrive for the parts it is used on some of the 10,000 Days songs.

So its obvious that im not using the bigger heads, but i will now have that "B" Channel in an enclosed stomp box to put on my board after the Rat+Eq!! (it is in the mail!)

GK have these (Diesel Dawg's)at 50% off on their online store! These were discontinued until they found a whack of parts hiding in the back. Get'em while they are hot.

The only thing im not liking is the size of the enclosure....they are pretty big. So i will decide to either re-house it.....or leave it hiding in my rack case and trigger it from my board.....will let you know what i decide!

So now my signal chain will look like this...the "(always on)", refers to the Rat+EQ only.

Well the Dawg came in and i must say, its a beast! It takes up alot of room on my board and is almost 5lbs in weight.
So i dont know weather to just leave it like this.....change the enclosure....or hide it in my rack case and trigger it from my board.

Also i WILL be borrowing a 2001RB from my local shop to set up from settings on Dunlop vid.....then adjust the Dawg through my other amp until i can a/b the 2 and not tell the difference. That way i will have the setting i need on the pedal in combination with my head settings....

I hope to finish my board with in the week
