Tool tone/FX sticky thread ver. 1

It's a little bit late but mine arrived today. I haven't had a lot of tinker time but I will say the UK wah setting is king on this thing.

I hope this means a demo video on YouTube...Really ready to hear what you Tool fanatics have to say about it. Bring it on Toolmybass!
Yes
Here is my take i posted in the FB group.

Ok, after spending some time knob twisting. Here is what my ear is hearing and its mostly positives.
The ending of The Pot. It gets very close with both the Wah and the fuzz on. I couldn't get the frequencies to match. The JC is a bit lower when comparing the peak of the Wah sweep (pedal rocked forward all the way) But having an a/b switcher where you could do fast switching? You can hear the difference. I'm kinda leaning toward it sounding a bit nicer than the Foxx. Either way, in a band setting or studio setting? its pretty much nailing it.
Also nailing it....is the U.K filter for the beginning of The Patient. I haven't tried the pedal with my Stingray yet...but will tonight. Another plus. The Fuzz section could definitely replace the Tonebender and a whack of cash in your pocket, when comparing the cost of an OG modded Foxx and a re-issue TB. Most people don't know...but there is a little red "fuzz only button" on the Foxx! But its not red and its a footswitch button, under the foot pedal. My demo video is looking like it might be long and tedious editing lol.
Ok, so now for the only 2 negatives i have about the pedal.
Placement of the red fuzz only button, but i think it will just take some getting used to.
The other is the engagement of the effect when at the beginning of rocking the pedal. It doesn't engage right away when pedal rocking starts. Even with the delay knob in the lower setting. Not smooth at all. But whatevs....the pedal kicks butt IMO.
I'm pretty busy with work and O.T...but i will try and make an a/b vid soon of

Foxx (The Pot) vs JCT95
Tonebender (Jambi) vs JCT95
Wal tone knob sweep & Uk filter

**EDIT** I forgot to mention about my quote on this replacing the Tonebender. This doesn't necessarily mean you wont have to bend down and change the fuzz settings from The Pot to when you want to do Jambi. They aren't really the same. But maybe you could find a happy middle if you don't like changing it

Thanks for the info on the JC Fuzz Wah! For The Patient, I wonder how it works in combination with the rest of the pedals. The filter sweep should really be in front of the delay, not in back.

Maybe the next JC signature pedal could be similar to this one, but for the front of the chain combining pitch shifter, tremolo, wah, and volume.

Tonebender gone in favour of a E.H Big Muff

Interesting that he doesn't have his sig Cry Baby on that board, unless that's still the prototype. But really he doesn't need the Tonebender if he has his sig on the board, I got rid of my Brown Acid because it was the same as the fuzz circuit on the Chancellor Wah. Interested to see what he uses the Muff for!

Small footprint, blue LED, and odd knob layout for EHX...Way Huge Russian Pickle?

Yea it does look more like a pre-2018 Pickle, before they made enclosure smaller and moved the l.e.d.
This photo must be older than i thought... when he was experimenting with different fuzz and wahs.
Looks like he is using the battery in it...as there is no power lead plugged in.
