Totally amateur recordings thread

They're off an album I made when my band was defunct at one point. The only members left at that time was the drummer and me... RIP... I did get a few guests to appear on it, but mostly I had to play all the instruments but for the drums.
Just got my multitrack repaired and we'll see what the future holds. I have about 20 different drum tracks we laid down back then that I could manipulate which have never been addressed yet.

SLT is "stuff like that". Once we recruited new members they insisted we develop a new name. We started with about 50 perspective names and through a series of voted upon cut downs, "sycamore haze" was the final survivor. That ensemble ran for another 8-10 years. Those guys are dead now. argh... We were doing an eclectic mix of what I called psychedelic rock and roll boogie blues that was very cool.

I like this one. I had my drummer friend play this song called "out of my life". A 60's 45 I dug up. Then I added the rest. I'm no pro...
Hell, I don't even know how to play chords on a guitar, so I played single notes. I don't have a wah wah peddle, I just found some combination of stomp box effects that sounded like this. I like this one.

I like it, too. Catchy!

I do my best to keep from being political. But seeing the husbands and fathers yesterday leaving their families at the border in Ukraine just pushed me beyond, whatever... Anyway vented creatively with my first video. Not the greatest but it made me feel like I was doing something positive...

This is great. Who needs chords?

Thank J-Mags, It's just that... well, even with playing bass, I see and hear other talented people do stuff I can not fathom me doing. The big thing for me is the enjoyment I get from being creative.
BTW, I am shy about my singing (if you could call it that) so I brought in Dennis Jones to do out "of my life".

I don't think I could ever have sung this one! This thread gives me an opportunity to throw stuff out and not be to embarrassed. Gees, everyone else's contributions make me jealous that they sound so good.
