I really wish they hadn't stopped the Moogerfoogers, I hadn't completed my set...
Yeah, I had all the ones I wanted aside from the MF104. Oh well... gear comes and goes.
Has a sci-fi movie sound track feel to it. I like.
Here is my second idea/attempt. Tried applying some effects this time:
Nice groove - I like how the bass and guitar parts interleave and harmonize. Good stuff.
Thanks! That melody part is actually played on the bass, way up high on the neck. Maybe someday I will get a guitar and lean to play it, but I am kind of a "one trick pony" for now.
You could just get a short scale bass and string it with the bottom four guitar strings and use it as a piccolo bass. A very unique sound and great for melodic stuff!
A little something in progress, still working out vocal parts. Just recently had some BEARITONE sax added in.
Cool! Spacey / trippy. Love that slide intro. Then launches into the "beary" funk.
Been a little while, was just dropping by again. Really like the stuff I'm hearing here cause I'm just a makeshift kind of guy with many irons in life's fire too. That said, thought I'd post a couple. I may have put up ego trip by the ultimate spinach before... if so...oop's. But here it will be again then. We've got mike st john on the vocals and I got my wife to jump in with some of the back up in the chorus'. That said, after that LP was done, I went through and remixed a new mix bringing a different accent to the instruments and doing away with all vocals.
During those sessions, the machines were rolling. My drummer got pissed off that I made something out of his warm up stuff. But hey, it's just another opportunity to create something out of nothing. To hear that go to...

OK, I've got one for you! fix the car by stuff like that. circa 2000.
We didn't have a real wreck sound for the end so we used a conglomeration of the hood on the guitar player's 67 elcamino and a 4' Florissant tube being busted with a hammer. The scratching out was done behind a local supermarket and a guy came out to read us the rules about such activities. There's extensive use of pitch shifting on the "old woman's nagging", and the built motor from the elcamino. The guitar player was very proud of his ride and pissed that I made it sound like a junker. The other vocalist in our band, (not on this track) complained that no one wants to hear a song about a car. That's why I had to sing it.

Here is my latest attempt. This features all three of the basses that I own. The actual bass part is played on my fretless. I am no good at fretless, but I love the tone it gives. My 14 year old son added a nice little guitar part in the last section. I am a total amateur, but I actually really like the sound/vibe that happened here.
I threw this one together on Tuesday night... we finally got the music room finished enough at the house, so now I can mess around in there and make noise... I recorded the elements using the video camera function of my BlackBerry Key2 while I played fragmentary parts on the various instruments... I then used my laptop to extract the audio from the video clip, and then used SoundForge to do cutting/copying/pasting/etc. until I was happy enough with the result. It's meant as a demo for one of my bands, so that the other members can learn it so that we can incorporate it into our set.
