I dig it! I think it would fit right in on a radio show filled with the “60s garage vibe” despite having more modern production and sounds.
I really like the change up at the solo section, and the sort of trashy short echos that trail off as the solo ends.
Just a riff that's been nagging me the last couple of days, wanted to record it before I forget it. Sire V7 through Joyo MA10B recorded on my cell phone...

Hint: don’t say that Roger Waters/Tool stuff. You want to say words like “Balkans” or maybe “Caucasus.” Go for those world music/ethnomusicological points, man!
Hah! Yeah, I'm channeling my "inner Eastern European / Western Asian" (which of course, I have 0% of, DNA-wise).
The riff does have that modal flavor to it though. I've added another section now, maybe something will come of it. Needs drums.

That does sound reminiscent of some of Bill Frisell’s more ambient stuff. You seem to have a good sense of how to manipulate the ambient effects to get into that zone, and some of your tonal and note attack nuances are in that zone too. Pretty cool piece!

Yeah I'm really pleased with how the thread has evolved. Funny, this was maybe my 3rd or 4th try at starting such a thread, took a while before it became popular. Warning - recorded WAY TOO LOUD - watch the volume. Still no recording rig, but I grabbed my Zoom G5n from the storage pile and recorded some lead riffing....
Goofing around in a dub style, sorta kinda.
This is my latest home effort. The song is called "Undo" (only English word there really, it's Spanish sung). Recorded in Reaper, programmed Steven Slate Drums, bass&guitar going thru' a Zoom G1Xon into a Zoom R24 recorder used as my audio interface. All played&sung by yours truly. This is the last of 5 songs I've composed thru' the last 2 years and am hopefully making into an EP at the studio with my band soon (along with a cover song, very intrusively rearranged to our style -or lack thereof-). Hope you like it.

This one came together really quickly and what you'll hear is only about two or three days from inception. We'd setup a mixer in our rehearsal space so we could bring home better rough cuts than the old single mic/ cassette recorder thing.
I came up with the bass hook noodling on an early Ibanez SoundGear 5, drummer and I meld quickly, guitar and lyrics were cemented a day or so later. Even though we were only together for a few months, I'm proud of the quality and quantity of output we achieved.
