First of all... PICTURES!!!
Aguilar pickups seem nice. You can add a Marcus Miller Pickup cover too. And maybe a black pearloid pickguard.

Jimmy (Wilson@Landing) didn't mangle it! This is an Indonesian Tribute I picked up lightly used. I took out the tone control so it is V/V and added the control plate so I could utilize a standard Switchcraft jack vs. the barrel-type:

Gord_oh said:going to be a big week next week:
-getting my Squier VM 5 string Jazz
-getting a Squier CV neck to finish my project, its a surprise!
-side note: getting my Zoom B3 too!
Trying to round me up one myself but unsure if there are any drop in pickups for it
did we ever figure out way? i came across a bit of cash and i wanted to get a set.
I bet that would be wicked reggae bass ( if it had a tone roll off ). Either way, awesome.
rojo412 said:If I'm not mistaken, the VM5 uses 3.9"/4.1" pickups, the same size as USA/MIM 5 strings...
Fender Noiseless, SCN, N3
Bartolini (not sure of model)
Nordstrand NJ5F(S)
Seymour Duncan QP
Delano
(possibly) New EMG
There's a lot of options!
Squier is not a Fender. Its a Squier. Someone dropped a set in a deluxe active jazz V.Thanks definitely helps I was hoping for sadowsky but it says on their site the fivers don't fit fender

HOWEVER... the Affinity and VM5 don't use the same pickup size as the DAJV (and for what reason, I'll never know!).
What is the size difference
For those who asked, here are some measurements of the VM5:
Neck pickup: 9.9cm width // 2cm height // depth ??
Bridge pickup: 10.3cm width // 2cm height // depth ??
Bridge: 9.7cm wide // 4.35cm height
I'm still enjoying the bass. I have it strung with DR high beams now which add just a *touch* of growl.
Found this searching TB
i think im going to drop those in mine.
