Have you loosened up the neck plate with the tension off the strings and aligned the neck up properly yet ?
It would look and probably sound more balanced if the strings were aligned with the pole pieces.

They sound perfectly balanced. I will have to move the bridge once I find time and motivation for it. It's a cosmetic issue only

How do those pickups sound together? And how about the mudbucker on its own?
One of the reasons I ask specifically about three pickup basses is because I don't know the best way to wire it up. Selector switch? Three volume controls? On/off switch for each pickup? No clue.
Another cool club! Heres my "tricked out squier" Still a work in progress. I bought a Squier Bronco for super cheap online. Pulled the pick up and tried a hot rails pick but I still wasn't to happy. I routed out a hole for a double coil humbucker that I pulled out of an old p bass and that made it sound a lot better. Then I decided to put in a 2 band pre amp out of a '78 sting ray. Routed a hole for the battery and an extra hole in the pick guard for the extra pot. Sounds like a beast now! Also relic'd it because I don't like shiny new looking bass's haha.

I've never had more than two pickups, so I have no idea what the electronics would look like, but in broad terms, are you thinking "V/V/V/T" or something with Stratocaster-esque pickup selector? I could see it being done with a rotary selector switch, but, not being too well-versed in electronics, I have no idea if that'd be feasible.

I was thinking of doing a similar mod to a black Bronco, only with a MusicMan-style humbucker, black pickguard and vinyl "inlay" blocks down the neck. Maybe someday down the road…
Bought this to have a cheap beater bass I wouldn't mind lending to friends, but it's ended up getting most of my time lately. Changed the black pickguard to pearl, and installed a Hipshot drop D tuner. Might play around with custom pickups, seriously considering quarter pounders.
I like a worn finish also - you did a very understated, tasteful job!

Thanks man. I was originally going to use a musicman humbucker but the Bronco string spacing is too close together and the pole peices don't even come close to lining up. That's why I went with the other style.
That make sense. But then again, there's always good ol' Bartolini to the rescue.
Between this and their soapbars, there are a lot of possibilities. In my own, personal experience, I was quite pleased by the performance of their BB Classic Series. (Re: Their smallest soapbar)
The together sound is mostly the split coil, you don't hear a lot of mudbucker. That's why I'd go different pot values next time. Both pickups alone sound great
The black Hipshot HB1’s I snagged from the classifieds arrived today— they’re looking pretty sharp on my 2019 70’s CV Jazz.
I’ve only had time to install the E string tuner but will say that only two of the four screw holes on the HB1 matched up with the holes in the headstock.. the ones closer to the bridge were an exact fit, so it was easy enough to tighten those down and drill pilot holes for the remaining two screws closer to the headstock.
I was hoping for a simple drop-in replacement but seeing as how this will most likely be a permanent modification, I truly don’t mind the little bit of extra work.
