And I got their cousin here:

Started out as an abandoned sticker bass with a blown pup. I got it back in playing shape with some spare parts - and gave it a US Fender-spec p-bass tort guard. I had to do a bit of carpentry to make the guard fit, including routing around the pups, and gluing in a block of maple at another spot. I painted the wiring chamber gloss black after the mods to give it a finished look - in case anybody peaks inside.

Here's a before pic:

i own two.

That ain't no P-Bass! Too many knobs. I'm scared to learn what they all do...

starting from the switch and working my way over it goes, switch is some kind of mid cut for the piezo pick ups, then volume for piezo pick ups, the rest of them are just for the emgs, next knob volume for the emgs, then it is a stacked with the lower being the lows and upper the highs, and another stacked knob witch is mids and a mid swep, and the last one is a pan knob to pan from the 2 emgs.

thank God I found this club.

I just scored an early 90's Squier P, identical to the one that started this thread, but in black.

I was wondering if these earlier models can accept replacement parts like a new pickguard without any fitting trouble.
