yeah, the ape amp is an inside if you're wondering. Our guitarist plays an ampeg stack so I blacked out some of his letters with electrical tape. Ampeg Ampeg

That's pretty cool... looks like without the roadcase that 8x10 would fit perfectly on top of those... I guess they're 18" cabs?

Love your rig. I got a 1x15, 4x10 GK stack, so it doesnt even compare to yours. I'm only 15 though, so I'm not supposed to have the money for that huge giant rig. I'm suprised I got the money for my stack being my age. lol, thank god for Ebay and high demand for Star Wars lego's.:smug:

I would not carry my stuff either if I did not need to.
I carried 2x18's and 2x10's in one cab, drove it with a bridged CS800. Man that thing would move the ceiling dirt out of those large dance halls. Nothing compared to your rig.

the rigs of doom are great, and the mini doom rigs too. this is the thread to post only the true giants rarely seen. this is my frankenstein creation, the faces on other pro bassists when they check out my rig is worth the 16,000$ price tag.,lol. you might have sold more records than my band, but u dont have a badder bass rig, havent seen it yet. im sure there is one somewhere... and i have two complete rigs, one for the usa, and one for overseas. steve d, bigwig at ampeg, always comes out to see it when we play st louis. and i ask if he has seen a badder rig. the answer is still no. there are for 18 inch evx subs, run full range. they are suprisingly clear up to about 900 hz. the jbl horns are crossed 6db slope at 1000hz with mundorf capacitors from germany. the 8x10 are the older svt pro cabs, they dont make em anymore. the handle 1500w rms, and the cabinet is the same svt size, only about 6 inches deeper. it adds a few cubic feet to the cab. honestly the older svt cabs have better tone, the cones are lighter, and they are clearer. fortunatly the horns make up for that. the 18" cabs were custom made for me by ampeg. check out all the pimpy chrome logos. i requested those. i can hear the people getting ready to post 'overkill',lol. unless somtimes you sing at the mic up to 35 feet from your amp on a headlining gig, (yeah, i have to feel the bass to sing the right note) and you are battling four double stacks , and a double stack from two guitarpayers with thier chainsaw rigs, you kinda respectfully are not in the league to comment,lmao. i refuse to put my instrument thru a sidefill that does not sound as good as my rig, period. heres a few pics and maybe a little more description. i hesitated to post this rig. i looked at all your rigs of doom and they are wonderful, and hard earned. i would have killed to have one of those 15 years ago. i never even thought id even be able to afford an svt, i just got lucky. check it out. ;) johnny a. staind.

i love checking out rigs that give me something to aspire to. I could just imagine standing 8 feet or so in front of that and cranking out a nice low B...just to feel my organs vibrate throughout my body.

keep up the awesome work johnny! i love the solid basslines that keep the staind albums going.

1982? You're a young man!

One of these days you'll look back on these times and say, "Oh those were the days when guys carried my stuff for me" as you're loading your combo into the trunk of your car. ;) Trust me... enjoy it while you can because it doesn't last forever. Enjoy every second.

BTW... That rig kicks major A$$!!!!

I remeber i seen Lamb Of God play in Kansas City, just went for the fellowship with my buddies, and they had 9 half stacks per side, and 4 mesa 810s on either side, i found a good spot during the show after someone had left (this was in a bar) and it was behind the pa. All i could here was symbols and snare.... I was so mad, i just got up and left...I've always vowed never to have any dummy cabs. When my band jokes about getting some, i joke about leaving. Big rigs make for great stage presents, but the grandure is only there when they are real. I had the same thing happen with Montely Crue.

If you can catch a SunnO show you won't be disappointed by empty cabs at the front...bring ear plugs...
