Woah, hey now, let's leave Noel out of this! Guy gets enough flak round here as it is! ;)

what really pisses me off is you guys dont think i know my ship when it comes to amps. i was just asking what heads will run four 810 and if the SB300 was enough if i were to get two. i really wanst expecting to hear all about how peavey is so great, or to get flamed so hard. anybody run a svt into two fridges? my band wants to blow the lid off the house this tour.

Really, from what the OP is talking about plus his attitude, could there be any other answer? How could someone who is obviously a major rocker play through anything but SVTs and a couple fridges? Anything else would be like riding a Honda to Sturgis.

Pages and pages ago. Why would a guy like you want anything but Ampeg on stage? You're ranking on all the guys who suggest Peavey, then you start talking about Fender. Ampeg is for rockers. Period.

If you are asking whether an SVT can run two fridges you do not know your ship when it comes to amps. If you were at arena level it would be impossible for you not to be somewhat familiar with an SVT and 4 ohm fridges. The SVT can handle a 2 ohm load easily.

If you think your stage rig will blow out anything in a stadium, again, you don't know your ship.

Did you even read this thread, it has been explained quite clearly that stage rigs are not for hearing, that is what monitors and FOH are for.

did you read the thread? i need maximum air in stage to feedback the strings so the bass kinda plays itself...like as soon as you fret, the amps take over and blow wind. thats what im looking for. old school :hyper:

PS i know svts are rockers, but looking for something a little dif that few else is using.

it doesnt matter anymore anyway, i decided on the fenders. thanks for the goofy thread guys!

You know the rules, until you post pictures they don't exist.

I look forward to the pics.

If you want a full tube amp, there really aren't all that many options to choose from.

SVT/SVT CL/SVT VR/SVT II/SVT II Pro
Bassman 100T/300SB
Mesa D180/400/400+
Traynor
Trace Elliot Quadvalve/Hexvalve
Hiwatt
Sunn

If you want a better informed answer, what type of music does your band play? I don't just mean "rock" I'm looking for specifics here. If you told us what band you are in, we be able to better suggest something based on whatever you've used int he past that is more reliable than the Fender's that you found unreliable. Or at least someones tone that you enjoy or closely resemble.

What are you playing for basses?

No Marshall? Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about either
