a wall of TRW-17 Thigpen Rotary Woofers. Flat response down to 1 Hz.

http://www.rotarywoofer.com/

"University of Hawaii used the TRW as a mobile earthquake sonics generator – in effect an earthquake in a box used to test the sensitivity of their remote earthquake sensors. Attached is a PDF of their findings, which states that the TRW generated subsonic waves could be ‘felt’ more than 3 miles away!"

They are even used in missile launch simulations, so they've got to have the right stuff.

I know this thread is dead or dying but...
I couldnt help but rember that Ampeg built a MONSTER bass cab for Dokken for their part in the 1987 "Monsters of Rock" tour.
If i wasnt always so busy pretending to work on my Iphone id risk logging into a PC (small children and mother in law and tiger wife in this house- SCARY IT IS!) and doing an image search- i went to the Boston leg of that tour, the cab had to have been 20 feet tall and 10 to 14 feet wide!

Just curious - What is the best bass for Hutts?

personaly i use my hermagnite filzelth mkIV through a diverse pvl typantheic confusion matrix. when the fen kripthlast overloads it causes a partial breakdown of the gelb spilation revasticator. sounds WAY better than toobs IMHO.
ps the gig went well. but they carbon froze our drummer.oh well, plenty more where he came from.oh wait a sec, maybe not.
ps happy birthday 18.

The last time I saw Metallica, they did a "garage days" type deal. they shut off the PA and all the lights in the Alamodome. one lonely lightbulb was lowered down just above the band to simulate a garage setting. Each member used only 1 fullstack each and that was enough for everyone to hear the music.

Whooo... I think they'd call this "unplugged" ;-)
But I guess it was nice, metallica without hearable drums!!
