Haven't used it yet but very excited to see a Sunn Model T, I wish it was on the Opus but I've always got the EAE Model FeT for that.

Looks like a great update!
Great stuff - looking forward to hearing what you think!

In terms of Samhain coming to OPUS, sadly as this is a TSM-Ai amp, it is far too CPU intensive for the OPUS architecture - nonetheless, I will feed this back to our team ASAP!

Anything in the roadmap for an opus 2 or similar able to handle the tsm-ai amps? Those were my favorites from genome

Thanks for getting back to me. Sadly, I'm not able to comment on our roadmap - company policy and all! I can say though that we are always working on awesome products so stay tuned for updates!

If anyone has a Morningstar controller you can download a few pre-made banks for controlling OPUS via Midi.

Link for the downloads: Two Notes Opus - Google Drive

They make it very easy to try out new setting quickly without needing to use the knobs on Opus. I just loaded the AMP BUILDER Bank onto my MC6 Pro and it works nicely to toggle between Preamps, Poweramps, and Mics as well as adjust Pre/Power/Master Volumes. You may have to edit the Midi channel on the presets but that can be done quite easily by opening the .JSON file and doing a Find and Replace All:
1) Open the file with a text editor like TextEdit on Mac
2) Command-F (for find and replace)
3) Check the {Replace} box
4) Enter "c":1 in the Find box including the quotation marks
5) Enter "c":# in the Replace box including the quotation marks and change the # sign to your Opus' MIDI channel.
6) Click {ALL} to Replace all of the channels
7) Command-S to save

In the Morningstar editor click on an EMPTY BANK, go to the "Controller Backup" tab, under "Restore your controller presets" Click "Choose File", navigate to the saved .JSON file you edited, select it and hit Open. You'll probably get a warning that the file has been changed, that's okay, it's what we did to modify the Midi channel. Hit "Proceed with Upload" then the green "Good to Go" button to upload the bank. It should just take a couple seconds to upload and then you will get a "Success" message.

Now, in the Morningstar Editor the Bank and Presets Sidebars may still show as empty; that's okay. Click "Preset A" in the right sidebar and the name of the preset should populate. If you use the Amp Builder Bank file it should populate as "Preamp". Now, click the "Edit Bank" link in the Menu bar and then the "Save Bank Settings" button. Once you click away and click bank to the bank all the Preset Names should populate. If the Bank Name doesn't populate for some reason just Name it whatever you want.

Hope this helps you get more use out of the Opus.

!!! There are only 5 Preamps loaded in the file so to add more just go to the preset in the editor and follow the pattern to add more. !!!
Also, if a preset has a Counter you may have to modify it or redirect it to a different counter you use.

Here are the CC Values. The manual has an error and flip flops Flatback and Gemini. The correct values are below.

OPUS MIDI CC Values - Preamps

CC Number for Preamp: 5

CC Values:

0 = Foundry
1 = Foxy
2 = Albion
3 = NiftyFifty
4 = Peggy
5 = Tanger
6 = Eldorado
7 = Aviator
8 = Flatback
9 = Gemini
10 = Flatback V
11 = FoundryB

I'll have to group and add your other ones as well. I appreciate you sharing them.
Weelll, I deleted all except those two, but in the future, anything that's named "IBJD...*" should be mine.

I wanted to switch to Dunlop SS Flatwound strings, and start tweaking from there, as I think they will have a more balanced tone as a foundation to build upon.

Not sure when that will happen, but I'll post up here in the two main Two Notes / Opus threads when I do.

The IBJDSB6L6NC has a bit thicker low end than the IBJDSM6L6NC.

I took my Opus and Cort B5 Element to a neighboring town that stocks some bass MI stuff.

I got to check out the Fender Rumble 100 Combo with the Opus run into the FX Return jack.

I went through a bunch of my Presets, but at least with that amp, the Presets without cab sims sounded significantly better.

The two that I uploaded to the Opus Exchange server sounded really, really nice.

I think that combination would work for a small to medium church worship band without PA support.

I still think a decent active PA cab would reproduce the models a fair bit better.

I was thinking that it might be good to have a combo in case the Opus went wonky, but I think most active PA cabinets these days have enough gain to handle plugging a bass guitar in directly (esp. an active bass).

What I've been looking at for a while is the EV ZLX-12P-G2.

I think if I could find a mint used one, that would be a great, reasonably priced solution.

After some more health and vehicle related expenses, I need to save up a bit more money.

I apologize profusely, for the confusion - the IBJDSM6L6NC Preset that I previously uploaded, somehow I had the EQ turned off and the Enhancer turned on; it should have been the other way around - I don''t know if my EQ settings get passed along if that section is turned off, I would hope so.

Anyway, I deleted the previous one (which still sounded surprisingly good) and uploaded the correctly configured one with the same name.

Here is the new link to the updated Preset:

They do indeed get saved with the presets even if the block is disengaged! Thanks for the update though! :)

Very cool!

So if someone saved the next-to-last version, they don't have to download the latest version, they can just turn off the enhancer and turn on the EQ and save it and it will be the same as the latest one I uploaded.

Very cool indeed!

Correct! Its a pretty cool feature I use all the time for different recording situations where I might want a different EQ for a certain tone but dont want to hog another preset slot! Let me know if you need any more info! :)
