I don't rely heavily for it as my 'always' sound thankfully.
With my guitarist if we go for a heavy bass sound, he plays his Strat me my ASAT, if we think the song needs heavier guitar, he picks up the Les Paul and I revert to L1500 for a brighter sound and less overdrive, maybe a bit of VMT at most.

If I get this right, sounds like the Sansamp would sort of get close to b7k type stuff, but 2notes would just be something else a little different I could play with alongside everything, but not being on the board be nicely portable.

Sounds like the 2notes may be the one, albeit they are less commonplace

Yeah the two notes will be definitly usable as 'something else' because the eq (mostly due to the midsweep) on the B channel gives you plenty of sounds to toy around with. And if your not after that b7k sound as an always on, this will be better than the samsamp. You might see it as an inbetween between the 7k and the vintage microtubes which i see you also have (good choice!). If you're not bothered by the lack of 3 real presets, i'd definitly go for the 2notes. I use mine in combo with the vintage, and that sounds really good imo

This is a long shot. Has anyone got the Auf der Maur sound from Celebrity Skin using the LeBass? Apparently it is a P-bass into an SVT with the highs also sent to a Marshall for extra crunch. I cover that tune in my band. I really like the tone. I think the cold fusion mode cold get me in the ballpark with the right eq.

Is the Le Bass supposed to pass a signal when both channels are off?

Mine just mutes it, making it kinda impossible to use as a sometimes on pre or distortion with my usual amp.

I am thinking the latter in your case, but contact Two Notes support regardless. They are very responsive.

How are you guys powering this on a board ? I don't want to us a separate power supply and my Cioks dc5 - the reason Radials stuff won't go on my board is the damn power requirement funky walk wart - help a believer I'm just hearing about this thing while almost buying a Noble

This is my mini board powered by a DC5

Only thing it powered by the cioks is the Line 6 g10 as its 5v, but I have left a space for a power pack to fit in the board, or just plug it in

Cool on the le bass recommendation it said get the Y cable for the Cioks

As far as I know the Y cable is for daisy chaining particularly out the 300mA slot so you can run more than 1 pedal if required.

I think the Le Bass says somewhere it's 500mA but as long as you are 12v supply in then only a 300mA draw alone will be fine with my basic electrical understanding so I would run it on its own.

Someone cleverer than me may jump in

I'm not clever but from their site about using the DC 5 - One Y (parallel) cable is needed to merge the two 12V / 300mA outputs and form one 12V / 600mA output.


There is a warning about under powering the pedal

I had it splitting the other way-duh!!

with my rudimentary electronic knowledge volts Defo needs to be correct or things fry, whereas if the mA's is off it will just not run as effectively and may cut out, though not short out

I am in the UK and the hot rox website has the cable for 4 pounds.

I'm getting one to be safe, i only have a small board and don't need all the outlets, or will use a splitter if i need more.
