Hello guys. I got my le bass and i really like it. But I'm having problem.
My channel A is buzzing by itself all knobs at 50% and it keeps buzzing, the only way to make it go away is volume at 25% and treble 25% otherwise there's buzz. Is it normal??
I've never used anything with tube so i don't know about it.

There should not be a buzz, but tell us more of your bass and signal chain before a defective Le Bass (or tube) is to blame.
To assist with diagnosis, run from your bass to Le Bass to amp, with no other pedals in the chain. Test using a bass with hum cancelling pickups.
unfortunately i don't have hum cancelling bass at this time. My only bass is the STR 6 strings single coil. The lebass is not in a chain. Bass - le bass - puma 900 head.
I did test it without anything on input. I mean the le bass by itself to the head and it make the same noise. It's a kind of buzz mixed with a whistle.
With no INPUT plug inserted into Le Bass, it should be dead quiet (as input is internally shorted to ground.)
If yours is humming and whistling at that point something is wrong.
Unplug Le Bass from the Puma 900 and plug a set of headphones into Le Bass and see if these strange noises exist. If so, you have a defective Le Bass.
Yes. it only works on DI out. I didn't tried the DI.
The 1/8 and 1/4 out are not good i need to send it back.
Tks. I got it from Sweetwater, I did send a email to them. Let see how they deal with it. I've never need to return a defective equipament to online retailer.
I just put in a ticket to Two Notes... I bought mine in July and usually run mine on all the time. My sound guy wanted a reference on the bypassed channel... so I turned it off, and no bypass. Dead silent.
Same for the headphones, DI, and line out.
IIRC when I first got it, in bypass mode, even if it was unplugged I could get a signal to my cab.
Not sure what happened... any thoughts?

I'm kind of afraid to exchange the preamp, maybe I'll return it. I did read about it and looks like many people are having problem with the preamp. The Idea is amazing the pedal looks good and mine sounded good in low volume.
I hope just a few units are getting bad otherwise they'll need to improve it soon to keep it on the market.

Try bass and treble at 0, and set the gain/volume to give you the same volume with the pedal on or off. Still get noise then?
I think bass and treble are boost only on channel A, so with treble at noon you are boosting quite a lot, I wouldn't be surprised if it was noisy.

Read the whole forum and all messages and would like some advice on Le Bass as I am seriously considering one. As ever more info given gets a better answer!
Guitars: G&L ASAT, L1500, Fender Cabronita
Rig: Hartke LH1000, HyDrive 410, HD25 for practice.
Playing mainly rock kings X etc type stuff but really I like to noodle with most genres. I have a tone I really like using a combination of the above, mainly the Hartke on bassman setting and b7K give a really fat overdriven sound with ASAT, VMT with L1500 and a bit of beef bag.
I mix fingers and pick.
Anyways, onto the question.
When rehearsing I don't always want to take my big board to my mates garage and want something cool to sort of replicate some dirt or presence and fullness which is eminently more portable.
I was looking at a Sansamp bass driver deluxe, with its 3/6 presets as a good option to take, but now I am seriously considering Le Bass which essentially has 3 presets without having to tweak a knob.
I am open to it making the board, or sitting alongside, but primarily it will be a pick and go unit.
I have not seen a bass driver deluxe vs Le Bass comparison anywhere.
Can someone give me a nudge on a sound comparison please to help me spend money my wife won't let me spend?!

If you like the sound of your b7k, and want it as a pick and go option, i'd say: look no further! You can set it to sound largely the same (although the b7k's distortion sounds a little bit more 'open' to my ears)
As for the bdd, that a whole other league imo. I really didn't like it when i had it, while i do like my two notes a lot. Then again: i used both purely as a di to go to FOH, so that might be completely different when using an amp. The 3 presets are better on the sansamp though, as you set presets for the entire range of pots, while on the two notes, your third preset is just a combo of one and two, and that could be what you want, or not at all

Haha, i fully understand you, I went from playing trough a hiwatt custom 100 to the 2 notes because of the weight for a lot of gigs and all the repetitions. But if you rely heavily on your b7k for your sound, there is a comparison between those two on youtube! It's a very metal-ish demo of both pedals though.
I wouldn't expect the tube tone of a full tube amp, as you miss the power tubes for such a sound, but its overdrive is indeed more alike to it then most pedals out there. And it does sound nice and wam while still having a good amount of attack and clarity.
For the sansamp I found exactly the opposite. Imo, it could only do one real sound, and then just more or less of that sound. It's hard to explain.. :d But with the sound you're looking for, it might just be the better choice because of the 3 'real' presets

With my guitarist if we go for a heavy bass sound, he plays his Strat me my ASAT, if we think the song needs heavier guitar, he picks up the Les Paul and I revert to L1500 for a brighter sound and less overdrive, maybe a bit of VMT at most.
If I get this right, sounds like the Sansamp would sort of get close to b7k type stuff, but 2notes would just be something else a little different I could play with alongside everything, but not being on the board be nicely portable.
