Your power amp and 1212/6/1 should simply be amplifying the signal from Le Bass. These two together should be like a powered studio monitor.
The fact that there is not much difference in the CAB sim on/off has me puzzled if you are feeding the Crown with the XLR out (as I thought we last left-off with.) There should be a huge difference in tonal "darkness" when switched on.
How are you hooking things up?
Been using my Le Bass for about a week now and playing around with the many possible sounds I can get. I'm partial to the cold fusion mode, but also think just running channel A sounds great in the rehearsal studio. At home, I'm running it through one amp and have a sans amp VT on the other. Shakes the room when I run everything in stereo. I'm using an ABY box, but can I run both amps and sets of cabs via the LeBass itself? Also can I get a number and be in the club?
What's up Charlie Running into my comp into Le bass then xlr out into power amp. there is a dif in sound but not huge, that's why it seem like it might need some amp modeling. Have you tried the le bass solo into the power amp? This is actually the first time using a power amp setup.
I have to say that I wasn't overly impressed either with the sound of the Le Bass directly into a power amp. It does sound fantastic by itself through the PA, and also directly into my amp set flat. Must be something about that extra preamp in line.
In the past I have connected Le Bass directly to a power amp via 1/4" out without any issues, however that connection will not deliver the Cabinet sim you enjoy from the headphone out.
To help you troubleshoot, I just now connected Le Bass to my Crown XLS 2002 via XLR and found that I had to increase the amp's input sensitivity to 0.775 (from its default 1.4) to be able to drive the amplifier sufficiently. Even without doing that, the signal with the Cabinet sim engaged was dramatically different (richer, warmer) than with it not engaged. As an aside, I again say it is a shame that Two-Notes did not allow for the Cabinet sim to pass through to the 1/4" output also, as it is that good in my opinion, and could nicely replace Torpedo CAB for my needs.
Should use of Le Bass alone not cut it for you, thankfully there are quite a few good pedal options for Cabinet sim available these days, although my favorite is Torpedo CAB.

Ok Charlie i'm going to put the pessure on you. If I purchase the torpedo cab do you feel I'd be that much closer to the sound, bringing in the poweramp sim along with cab sim? All joking aside I respect your opinions and knowledge on this.

I believe the Torpedo CAB is currently best-in-class for mic, cab and power amp sims, but YMMV. There are other great sim products on the market as well. In fact, I am currently waiting on a new one to release this month.
The best advice I can give is to "rent" risk-free for 45-days from one of the major online retailers and return if not completely satisfied.

The Cab sim is only applied on the headphones and the D.I., you wouldn't hear it if it is going through the output. Put on a good pair of headphones, you'll feel the difference. Remember, this pedal is meant to replace your cab head, so you would only need this pedal and a clean amp monitor.
yes headphones sound great have already stated that in previous posts. Went into crown with DI. Still trying different combinations. Any suggestions? Thanks

There's some serious mojo in that Phat Phuk/Le Bass combo. Sits nicely with the kick, nice grit up top, speaks pretty evenly all over the neck. Probably as close to an old tube amp as I'm going to get without hauling an actual tube amp, and I can carry my whole rig in one trip. The guys in the band keep looking down at my rig and shaking their heads in disbelief...

Are you running into the Shuttle preamp input? Or straight to power section via series fx return?
I'm running into the regular front input, so the preamp of the Shuttle is in play. I found that I prefer it that way. The pedals are giving me my standard tone and I'm using the amp EQ (sparingly) to dial in the room.
Hey all. I'm going a bit of a different direction these days and so considering putting my Le Bass in the classifieds for sale. If interested, drop me a note. Not certain I want to let it go because I think it is the best preamp ever. But on the other hand, it doesn't make sense to have it sit securely in a box unused either. I really think it is one of the most versatile and innovative pieces of bass tech ever created.
