Maybe somebody with enough technical knowledge can explain that better than me, but at this point I suspect that both channels are voiced with a very bassy and trebly tone and the cut starts from there, I don't know.

Channel A is flat with bass and treble near zero. It's boost only.
Channel B has a "modern" voice and it's a drive channel... there's definitely a HPF going on and a mid scoop with everything set flat. But you can boost and cut frequencies. You can mix both channels, it's very versatile... you can get "darkglass-like" and vintage tones.

That sounds just perfect, and that was what I thought before ordering the pedal. "Boost only" in my experience is an active EQ, not passive (which works like a filter, cut only). Like I said, even the manual is somehow confusing for me, but that's ok. I'll test the pedal as soon as it arrives and make an idea about how it works by myself.

Not sure. To be clear nothing wrong with the tone that's being demoed, it's just that I'm after a rounder tone such as in most of the Noble demos. The Le Bass is capable of that to some degree and is very versatile.

I was referring to the russian pedal too. I like its tone, I think it's the best full packed preamp/DI around, but I find the EQ options VERY restricted. I don't have the pedal so I can't know that for sure, but I don't want to risk. Gain is also a lot less compared to the Le Bass, which can sound like a chainsaw if you want. I'm not into hihg gain that much but it's better to have those tones available.

Truly awesome tones. Only complain, I can't seem to have a strong enough signal to drive it the way I want. I mean, if I set it to cold fusion I don't get any drive effect, eventi with both Gain controls at max. How on earth is that possibile??? Are my Nordstrand NP5F pickups really so ridiculously weak???
Hot Fusion instead...that's a beast. I still have to dial the Gain monstrously high but at least the tone is there.
I just have to find the flattest setting possibile on Channel A coz I love the way my P bass sounds "naked" LOL
My 0.02: personal Gain issue aside, this is a helluva preamp. I love SansAmps, but the LeBass sounds much much better to my ears. Cleaner and fuller.

Mine didn't arrive at all. I've had some problems with my order and I couldn't find another one fast so I ended up taking the Russian train. I'll keep lurking this thread because I'm still planning to get the pedal as soon as I sold some gear.
That's weird. You are aware the volume control on Channel A doesn't do anything in fusion mode? The "A" volume is governed by the Fusion knob.
Yes I know that ;-) cold fusion just doesn't seem to work well with my bass. "Cold" Channel B doesn't get hot enough (pun intended). Hot fusion, though...love love love it!!!

NEED is a strong word. I keep a Keeley Compressor Pro on my board. It's generally just massaging my tone before it hits the Le Bass. I could get along without it, but I prefer the consistency of having the comp in the chain.
Hopefully someone who uses more distorted tones will weigh in on whether they feel the need for a compressor. I'm just using Cold Fusion mode and dialing in Channel B for a little breakup when I dig in.
I have the compressor before the Le Bass and my MXR EQ pedal in the loop. The EQ pedal is my boost pedal when I solo - I'm just looking for slightly more volume and a little mid hump to cut through, not to drive the tube any harder, so it's in the loop so that it's after the preamp. If I bring effects I'll typically keep them on a separate board and insert them into the loop on my Radial Mix Blender, so that stuff all goes before the Le Bass.

It doesn't need a compressor, but it sounds pretty nice with my Spectracomp in front.
Anyone know who the current US rep for Two Notes is? Mike Van Tine, mentioned earlier in this thread seems to be with XSonic now. I visited their booth at NAMM but couldn't get info about their artist rep? I have an artist deal with another preamp pedal manufacturer (who shall remain nameless) on the table, but I really prefer the two notes preamp. Anyone know how I can get in touch with them?
