Why is it that peavey basses are so nice for so little $$$?
Same reason that Fender is over-priced.
I love my Jazz but it costs me 5 times more than my Foundation.
Brand recognition or lack thereof.
All the Rock Band controller guitars have the Fender brand on it. You can't beat this type of exposure.
I admire Leo and his legacy but $1500 for a new Jazz is over priced, knowing G&L makes better instruments for less.

US Peavey basses are the greatest bargain extant on the used market. I have to restrain myself from buying them.
I just bought a holoflake G-Bass, with HSC, for $352 incl. shipping. That is insane!
Yep. I just got a white Gbass from a GC in Oregon with HSC shipped to my door in Texas for $300.00. The black holoflake Gbass with HSC I found in mint condition in a pawnshop here in Austin was $185.00 out the door! That is really insane.

I saw that white G-Bass on the GC website. When the price dropped, I had to exercise restraint from picking it up myself. That was a great deal.
Not as great as that holoflake deal, though.

You have to wonder what that person is thinking. You can buy a Fury in excellent condition for the price he is asking for that disaster. The case is likely worth more than what is left of the poor bass.

I bought my Fury for $70 in much better shape than this.
No HSC but that's fine.

You look good in the picture with that Fury. I bought a similar black one for $99 recently. They are great P basses.

You know what I am not sure. That was a recent CL find and I haven't crossed the serial number. I will post it here and maybe someone can let us know.
