U.S. Peavey Club

OK, so this morning I had a recording session and I took my Peavey Millennium 4 JJ instead of my Cirrus, Foundation S, or RJIV, which are my other mains. The engineer said it was the BEST tone he's heard and now he wants to re track all the other songs from the old bass player who played a Yamaha 5 string. He said he had to do a bunch of cab sims, etc to get the tone he wanted. With mine, he said straight out of my Mesa Walkabout D.I. it's 90% there already. What a compliment !
Three songs in two hours. I just can't say enough about how much our Peavey basses RULE !

Many of the recent posts have talked about outrageous prices for used instruments . . . well today I stumbled onto the BIGGEST BARGAIN ever !! Fellow posted an ad on the DFW edition of CL for a long list of mostly PA equipment. Almost as an afterthought he also listed a "Peavey Foundation bass with case - $100." I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

Great deal congrats. Have to ask, why does the color of the body look so different in the pictures, I'm assuming it's the same bass?

"DFW" means Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas. I was looking for either a Foundation or another Fury, and got lucky and hit the jackpot. Of course now that I've bragged about the great deal I can't possibly sell it . . . y'all know how much I paid !! Just for fun, here's a picture of my Fury.

dddd-dang! Congrats man! I have been trying to get the guy down to $600 for that one on eBay...he won't budge!

Y’all catch this thing? You never see them with the rosewood but 350 is steep as hell for what it is. Looks like the neck was taken to bare wood. Idk, I’m sure it could be saved if someone really wanted to.

Mornin, I just saw this same bass on FB for $200, in New Jersey. Still a high price. I bet it had a matching HS and it was sanded off for the refin. Terrible abuse!

I can see that being a great recording bass. Very pure clean tone.

Oh, my! I don't like maple necks on Peaveys, but this one I would take in an eye-blink.
