That’s those same passive single coils in VFL-type covers that we’ve been discussing.

That's what I thought, it would easily double the cost of the bass.

I have never seen or heard of one. Axcelerator fretless were offered but only in 4 string.

These days, it seems like the GV and Millennium are almost never offered for sale. I have a GV and a Millennium Plus 5 and they are staying in my collection.

There were some Cirrus 5's offered in fretless.

I've seen one.. it had lines so unsure if a luthier did it -- I do not remember a fretless being an option. There are fretless BQuads though

The thing I like about the GV is that the neck feels a bit more petite than a Millennium - it seems less wide at the 12th fret. How do Cirrus and B-Quad necks compare to GVs or Millis? And does anyone know the string spacings on these?

Neck width at 12th fret:

Millennium Plus 5=2.465"

GV=2.50"

Cirrus 5= 2.484"

As you can see, on my basses the GV has the most narrow neck although they all measure about 2.5". Also my GV feels a little thicker front to back than either the Millennium or my Cirrus. All three basses are very comfortable to play and feel and sound fantastic but the Cirrus feels best to me.

The Cirrus, Millennium (USA) and Cirrus all have bridges that allow some adjustment of string spacing. The bridge on the B-Quad has a Wilkinson bridge that is not adjustable for string spacing.

Thanks for the correction. I've only owned one Wilkinson bridge years ago and will not own another. I detested that bridge. It can make you bleed faster than an unfriendly house cat.

I would have bought several Axcelerator 5's that came up for sale but they had Wilkinson bridges so I passed.
