I love the color. It's my favorite, besides the RJIV, which is a little darker.
Anyone know what the stacked knob is where the treble usually is ? Maybe it was opened and switched for player's convenience ? I'm intrigued. Also this looks like an ebony board (?)

So, aside from my Sadowsky that I got 30+ years ago, the Palaedium is my favorite bass. That would explain why I have four of them.
Nothing I’ve ever played sounds quite like them.
Although I do have to admit that three fretted and one fretless is a bit excessive. I may have to address that soon and move one.
I also have an extra set of the Bartolini-designed quad-coil pickups and wiring harness from another Palaedium just sitting in a drawer. Any of the experts have an idea what they are worth if I list them for sale?

It looks looks some kind of mod to me. IIRC the Cirrus BXP did not come standard with a sweepable mid control.
They didn't, sweepable mids only came as standard with the bolt on neck and custom models.
Personally I doubt the dual knob means a "mod". Top half fits a 6mm pot shaft.
My money is on the original knob was lost and a dual knob was in the spares box
While not an ash bodied, rosewood boarded T20, this slant Fury is as close as it can be. Slant Fury has been on my list for a while, and I kind of enjoy less popular body woods. Score. Came in a chainsaw case that is pretty clean other than the foam. This bass is no museum piece. I've already cleaned up the neck. About to string her back up and see how she does.

Well it's actually late 80's...non original knobs....but a nice bass
Yeah, my new slant is an '84. Does anyone know for sure when they went to the P pickup in those?
I have an '89, maple neck/HS would the originals be the lightning P type knobs? Besides the board are the necks different? Widths and such?
Here's an '88 again, the maple neck...it came with the truss rod cover! Eddie wouldn't have had that!!
Sorry for redirecting the conversation a bit, but can someone please give me the low down on the Dyna 5 string. I realize they have changed over the years and specifics would help, but I'm just looking for a general review. I have a 4 string Dyna with super ferrites and it plays like a dream, even better than my Xotics. I'm thinking about purchasing a 5 string Dyna! If there is a good chance it will play a sound like my 4 string it may be worth paying the outrageous shipping cost ($180) to get it here. Thanks in advance!!
