U.S. Peavey Club

I never was a p style guy, but this is becoming my most played. I like it so much that I upgraded almost everything but the wood. Such a nice bass.

I had the EXACT same thought on my Fury ! I have a 3rd gen 1992, so it has the Pbass pup. It plays so nicely and took a set up like a champ, so I ordered some new pups for it !
Mine is also black, but had a white pickguard that was broken at the plug in jack, so I fixed it and put black duct tape all over it. Looks much better now.

The black Foundation 5 with the matching headstock arrived today. The condition is not as good as I had hoped as it has some paint chips on the body. The neck is in fine condition and the back of the neck is perfectly smooth. It set up nicely but the real bonus is the tone. This thing is a tone monster. Those single coil PU's sound huge and very punchy.

I will touch up the paint and polish everything on the bass and it will be fine.

Agreed! I *love* those pickups.

Hey U.S. Peavey Clubbers! I bought the G Bass that was recently listed here on TB.

This is my first Peavey, and while I had high expectations, I have to say that my expectations have been far exceeded.

Welcome fellow Peavey Player (NOT to be mistaken with our Peavey Player™) :)
Prepare to be addicted ! There are SOOoo many GOOD USA Made Peavey basses. The Gbass is just one of a million. The Gbass neck is the same neck they use on the USA Millennium, so now you know how that feels. Both are 35" scale. When you try a USA made CIRRUS, your life will never be the same. :)

I mean no disrespect, but is a lack of / wrong truss rod cover a deal breaker ? I have a jar full of Peavey truss rod covers. I HATE them !!! Such a nuisance ! I leave them off until I (if I) sell the bass. I made a cardboard one for my Fury just for photo purposes. Mine didn't have one when I bought it.

I was thinking of getting a 3D printer just to make them to sell.

Didn't say anything about it being a deal breaker. Just agree that the truss area doesn't quite look right and thought it might be due to a non original cover throwing things off a bit.
I was just asking. Just curious. It looks OK to me, but the one next to it doesn't have one at all.
