Where is your pregain set? I would turn it down a little and try again

Well I have the sound card padded and and 0 gain added


The pre gain was maybe 7-8 o clock
clipping was like 4-5 o clock

post gain id have around 6-7 o clock and it would sound distorted

Haven’t tried it after reseating the tube and using the old tube to kinda clean it

Yes, the metal ones (I'm pretty sure that's what you both mean).
Can you imagine back in the day when they had buckets of these knobs !!!

I became a big Tim Landers fan after hearing The Crimson Jazz Trio, and while I think he's playing his Pedulla at that time, it still makes me want a Dyna Bass (I just like 4 strings.)

What's the difference between a regular, and a Unity?

The Unity is neck-thru...and that one on the GC used site is a Unity LTD, I believe....it has the oval inlays, gold hardware and the translucent finish.

OMG how did I miss this ??? I've been looking for this bass for so long. SOOoo hard to find the oval inlays. It sold already.

Oh well, the good thing is I have the RJIV, which I believe is basically the same bass, but with a better preamp, so I guess I'll live. I can always put oval inlay decals on my RJIV - Yeah, I'm gonna do that.
