I'm shopping for a new coffee mug (since the kids broke mine...) and I found this. Putting it on the short list!
Here it is:
Preamp re-capped by @AudioTaper with audiophile grade caps recommended by @PeaveyPlayer
Graphtech Ghost piezo saddles that run directly out to a FireEye RedEye outboard preamp (additional mono output jack)
Body stained with tumeric powder and water. Finish is 6 coats of Tru Oil.
Neck bought from Amber was defretted and inlayed with maple. I still have the original neck so I can convert back to fretted if needed.
LaBella tape wound stings

Who did the bridge? Do you have more pics of it? I slotted the base plate on the Jazz Bass for the Ghost wires so they weren't at weird angles. It's still in progress....
My luthier did it. He didn't stagger them. The cable on the G string is visible. This could affect the ability to lower the action. It's not an issue now, but may need to be addressed in the future.
I recognize it by the odd position of the strap pins. It took me a while to find the spider pots replacements but when I did it was fine, it was not particularly noisy and everything worked as intended.
I have to say it looks quite different from what it used to be:

I wasn’t going to do it, but… I did it! I’ve been wanting a Cirrus 5 for a while now, but the body shape of the Milli is more comfortable for me. I held off on buying the GV since I saw the post on this thread, hoping that someone else would buy it and I wouldn’t be tempted any longer, but the longer it sat there available, the higher the temptation rose. I finally got permission from my wife and placed the order about ten minutes ago.
Excellent news. I really love mine and I have a Millennium plus 5 and a pair of Cirrus 5's (fretted and fretless) and the GV stands tall in that crowd. I believe you will love it. The proper Peavey case is the Millennium case. I think that one is in a nice looking generic case.
That was a bargain buy. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do my GV.
I thought I'd throw my Peavey Milly photo (not taken by me @GuitarRandy1964) out again. I forgot I had this bass...shame on me! Dang sexy though.
