I've been spray-painting things. It's cheap, limitless colors. Do it. I'd be real careful not to get underneath or inside the pickup wet if you can help it, though. I have a Bartolini I'm gonna paint, but maybe that's a little different.
I thought about maybe taking black humbrol enamel paint for models

after working on my G-Shock watches a lot of people use them on the rubber resin

I figured I just put a little bit on and then wipe it off with a cloth
