Good point ! I didn't even consider that it's not a Peavey. The neck pocket looks Peavey, and it is obviously for a guitar (or 6 string bass) depending on what it is.
You can find the ebay auction here: Peavey Bass Guitar body | eBay it could very well be a prototype. The cavity is consistent with the usual Peavey cavity. Maybe an early attempt at a USA bolt-on grind 6?

I have a T-40 neck with a bad truss rod. I was thinking about making a template from it. Would T-40 owners want/need a replacement neck? If so what would you want different than peavey offered? Fretless? Ebony board?
Hey y'all. I have a buddy who has just acquired a Millennium AC BXP 5ver. He really likes it, using it for a Reggae/dub band. He's looking for some info on it. Anyone here have an inside scoop of a descent thread on the imports?

My GenerationBXP is better than my USA Tele - there I said it.
Didn't meet the reserve....a lot of mods on that bass.

This is more "meisms" that are scattered through this forum (my faultisms -- kinda like my stupid "poorman's modulus") speed type (when someone asked for a comparison to my Modulus flea).

IMPORTS - First Generation
I'm probably wrong... just owned a bunch - some turds some stunning.
When they'd transplant production overseas (commonly Indonesia first) ... the build quality was under a magnifying glass... once proven, they'd start incrementally degrading things like hardware and finishing.
I've had Milestones (import) that were on par with my USA fender.... my Tele-esque guitar is on par with my USA Fender.
Collectively we stay away from "is an import/bxp OK" as it depends how close to USA Mfg, which plant... which country, quality control person... price point. etc.
Overall... for a short period once they went overseas, there are some stunning instrument builds.... they then devolved to $130 "deal of the day" guitars.

Sheesh... I'd put some of my PVM mics next to my 58s... some of the condensers next to my Heil 35 (except a heil doesn't need phantom).

Folks forget that there'd be no stunning Epiphones or Squires without Peavey cost cutting (inspired by low cost catalog houses).
