Update: View attachment 4657233 this unique Peavey Foundation S body showed up today - Here it is lounging on the sofa with a NOS Foundation 2000 neck and a Bartolini bridge pickup dropped in for visuals - again for the Peavey purists , only the body & neck will be Peavey for this project - Neck & body are from Amber who sells Peavey parts online

That is a really cool flamey body!

Not a wood expert but I'm thinking it is a curly maple , But is it Tiger or Flamed ? Either way I agree , A cool body for sure , Hailing from Meridian, MS weighing in at 4 lbs 13.8 ounces Even looks good on the travertine flooring

Yep. Looks to me like it wasn't consistently figured enough to use in one of the fancy basses(TL series), so they used the wood to make a body that would have been painted.

Actually that top matches pretty nicely, Tiger maple I think they call that. I don't think they would've painted that...it looks as though there's a finish on it now...?

thanks , Sure it not's perfect on the backside but the top side looks pretty darn good to me , Yes it has a satin finish although glossy in some spots that appear to be heavily sprayed on

Thanks I'm thinking gold kickass bridge , Not sure on pickups yet , The NOS neck will get a level , crown , polish job & I think a ebony look dye job on fretboard - This is my current project and I think it will turn out just fine
