This is the 6th US made Peavey that I have owned and I have to say that I am quite pleased AGAIN. I wanted a TL5 when I graduated from college but had NO money at all for food let alone a nice high-end bass.

2 weeks ago, I bought a nearly mint one on here that UPS managed to use as a lift device and destroyed it. Lucky for me, I found another one, and purchased it quickly. It's not nearly as mint, but the color is a little darker which is kinda cool. I need a new top knob for one of the stacked knobs, but other than that it's in great shape. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, but I just had to get a post out, as I am SO excited!

Got a Peavey Foundation 5 a few weeks ago......the truss rod hex nut seemed a little worn out....

Rather than getting myself into trouble, I contacted Peavey Customer Service.

After some searching, they found a spare....and are sending it out to me for FREE! :eek:

Now that's awesome. :)

Yeah, I kinda went pedal crazy in the past few months. They're mostly for the guitar rig, but I use them on bass quite a bit too! :-) GAS is a terrible thing.

Here's a better shot of the guitar side. The DS1 in this setup is mod'd with the Keeley "seeing eye" mod:

Sadly, this doesn't include the live board, though that's pretty tame with an EQ -> ODB3 -> Chorus (all Boss bass pedals)... wow, I think I've got too many toys.

Need some long distance diagnosing--

My '83 Foundation bridge pickup has decided not to work. I think it's the pot and not the pickup.

Symptoms-- neck pickup works fine on its own, but fades to almost nothing when the bridge pot is turned up all the way. The bridge pickup produces no sound at all.

All the wiring appears to be solid and connected.

Any thoughts?

Guess it would help to know that.

This is the Foundation I picked up this last spring. Gets a lot of playing time. I typically use the neck pickup heavily, with just a touch of bridge blended in.

Decided to go all bridge and had no sound at any volume. I think the failure was pretty sudden, but I'm not sure since I tend to leave the bridge pickup at 3 to 4.

Had noticed some time ago, that going full open on both would bring the volume down about 10%. This only happened when turning the bridge volume from 9 to 10. All good until that point.

Have tried contact cleaner. No change.

Hoping it's the pot and not the pickup.
