U.S. Peavey Club

I thought about even zen blades in a custom shell
But the problem is. Well I like the pickups are already active
They sound perfect and super clean to my ears
But the zen blades are passive. And I guess I could use an EMG ABC as a buffer and balance. But I don’t think it would be quite the same

Worth 140? cad that’s
110 USD for you guys

Anyone want it. I’ll make a deal and I can always send it out for you guys

The Cirrus 4 pickups fit only the 4 string basses. The 5 and 6 string cirrus use the same pickups. Those look like 5/6 string pickups. It is also odd that the color of the wires is not the same.
Yes, the 5/6 are the same, but bigger than 4's. I didn't read enough to see that part, which is kind of important :) but I was just posting it before I forget to do so before I get distracted.

I have noticed that the set will have different colors and I'm guessing so you know which is the neck and bridge, but I'm not sure it makes a difference. I've swapped Cirrus pups countless times with no issues, but that's still me guess, OR it's just a supply thing. If you've ever worked in assembly jobs, it's just what supplies you're given from your sources. It's possible that nothing is different except the color of the wire when they changed the spools.

This looks like a true player! Other popular brands that look like this one go for thousands of dollars!

I love a good player and own a few, this one is tempting to me.

Cheers!

Totally agree ! That is the best looking Foundation there ! You know there's a chance it plays wonderfully, or why else would it be so loved unless the previous owner just loves the road worn look.

That is some wear marks.:jawdrop:
Agreed, that is quite the wear!
However, I question the integrity of some of the wear. Peavey finishes are not nitro, so getting that amount of wear and tear seems like it might have nudged along..?

Haha! So true.
Yep. I have a hybrid set of Chromes on my 'Flats P' (which happens to be a CV/VM parts Squier). They have such a smooth feel and perfect 'thumpy' tone. I did it with two sets of Chromes, one 45-100 and one 50-105. Use the 45 & 65 from one set and the 85 & 105 from the other, then sell or gift the leftover singles to other bassists. It's a pain to do it that way and I wish D'addario would just offer that gauge, but these have been on that bass for over 6 years, and they will probably go another 6 years, so whatever. haha.

Why Peavey? You already know. ;) Most of us are addicted. I find the basses to be the ultimate bang for the buck.
If I had one bass, and it was passive. It may just have to be the Milestone PJ. To really make a PJ extra versatile, wire up a push/pull pot so you can run the P pickup in series or parallel. This way you can get classic P tones out of the soloed/series P, all the usual P/J tones and a more accurate J type emulation with the P pickup in parallel mode and blended with the J.
Me too. I have a set of them waiting for a bass. Thinking one of the Foundations may get them.
Thanks Bigtone23
Great idea, I'll do that. Sounds cool
