Bleecker...I saw that bass on Marketplace and even added to favorites to track it.Geez....I just bought another Fury and I sure don't need this one. I think $200 would probably get it if you can figure out some way to get it home. I do have a friend in Martinsville, guitar player school teacher, but haven't talked to him in quite a while, and I don't know how often he returns to his/my home town. Not even sure if his parents are still living, so I'll just put it on hold for now. Also have a good friend in Stuart, but he's shoving 90 and I wouldn't ask any favor like this of him.

Hey that's a great deal if the neck is good, haven't seen a nice example at that price for years. Seller is mistaken, it's not an '89 it's an '83-84. With a felt-lined bomb case to boot! I don't need another one, but if I was local I'd grab that in a heartbeat for asking price.

The weight on my various foundation vary quite a bit, I weighed them all I while back...let see, where is that pice of paper?

My weight references are mostly based on the Foundation, as I have owned a few. Seems the body is the biggest influence on the overall weight. For painted bodies, some have maple bodies, some poplar, and some are alder. Sure, the cast Schallers vs the open gear tuners, trapezoidal vs the rectangle bridge and P knobs vs the speed knobs all add up, but probably not more than maybe .5-.75 pounds difference.

I might suggest holding on to your preamp just in case. Regardless, I had an East preamp once and it was the only pre, besides the Cirrus, that lived up to the hype. The East is such a great sounding preamp ! You have good taste.

It really is a sweet preamp, and works great with the Nordstrand MM. I have that combo in my 2005 StingRay.
