I actually bought a pack of them a few years back for a Foundation.
I messaged the seller months ago, they think its chrome from factory...not!
Haha! It's cool, not everyone is as collectively savvy on Peavey like this group!
I saw that one and showed it to a good friend of mine. It was 100% up his alley, as he loves simpler basses and pink. However, he didn't get it.
I can't believe I'm posting this.....I have decided after much deliberation to start shrinking my modest bass collection. I'll be starting with all my USA Peaveys. Quick list (off the top of my head):
(3) T-40s (natural, white & Natural Fretless)
(2) T-45s (natural, white)
(2) T-20s (natural & natural Fretless)
(2) Patriots (mahogany, ash)
(1) Fury (early slash PU model, looks like T-20) Natural
Now....the big question. Do I look for offers on the WHOLE SHEBANG (an instant collection), or do I list each lovely Peavey separately?
Should I wait for a guitar show (Dallas, probably) and let the auctioneers do their worst? Personal experience shared would be lovely!
Here? Reverb? Ebay? Craigslist? Facebook Marketplace? Consignment at a local music store?
I know, too many questions......STILL.......

If you can find someone to pay favorably, then a lump sum would definitely be the cleanest, but that buyer is a real needle in a haystack. I personally sell on ebay, their fees are around 6-7% for musical instruments, and offer shipping discounts off retail when you ship with them. I somehow feel like peavey's might not do so well at a vintage guitar auction, but maybe that's just my prejudices clouding my judgement.

I’ve got one of these (the RS) with the Schaller bridge and I’ve had no problem getting low enough action for my liking. I have minimal neck relief and about .008” clearance at the first fret. I’ll do some actual action measurements later and post them.
The bass that you’re thinking of with the action issues is probably the RJ IV - I had to do some work on the bridge saddles to get that low enough for my liking. That’s not the roller bridge though and I think that the only bridge that would get lower would be the Babicz FCH Z series at its lowest adjustment.
Both of these are fine basses (both of mine were at work this last weekend) - if I had to choose between the two then the RJ IV would probably just get the nod.
The RS becomes considerably more versatile when you coil tap either just the neck or both p/ups - my opinion anyway.
Hope they have a time machine; Rene sold the last of them a few years back.
I only need two for my ash Gen 1 Fury, the rest of my Peaveys can live a good life without them.
No way would I pay 80 bucks for a pair of knobs, I've bought four of my Peaveys for less than $80.
Here are the actual numbers that I promised you......
Neck relief - 0.005”
String height at 12th fret (with capo at first fret )
1st - 0.040”
4th - 0.045”
Clearance between the “E” saddle and the baseplate - 0.120”
Just for reference - on my bass the height of the centre of the fretboard above the body is 0.35”

Well, I'm glad I grabbed up pretty much all of the metal P knobs I needed when I did. Once they hit $25+ a piece, it required a little thought to pull the trigger. Not that I couldn't afford them, but was it worth paying that much..?
Regardless of the price, they are really badass knobs! I think I would like 3 more, though, if anyone has knobs to spare.

I believe the ones equipped with Super Ferrites have the same electronics.
I've been trying to find a manual for the later TL-5 but I only have founr the older with the SF. So the later TL-5 has a different pre?
Yes. The later ones have active humbuckers and the pre has sweepable mid control.
