300 identicals at once were a ton... they were not at the same place at the same time....
normally sitting in a warehouse waiting to be shipped
I can accurately estimate 600 USA peaveys through the years.... remember I'm geezerly enough where I remember buying T60s at garage sales for $20 and flipping them for $50
I'm finally in the club! A used Fury arrived today. Played it for 2 mins and LOVE it. First time laying my hands on any Peavey bass. The neck is noiceeee! Sounds huge and fat. For reference, i m G&L and Yamaha guy.
Full pics later. How do I find research serial number to find exact year? Is it prudent for me to post pic of serial?
I have question about truss rod adjust and adjustment on neck plate. I start different post.

You will soon be addicted to Peavey basses. I own a Fury and it is the best passive Pbass I've ever owned. It's wearing half rounds and really shines. I get that PERFECT flat / round sound, which is the point. They feel soft, and are easy to play. I find flats are like trying to play The Golden Gate bridge suspension wires. I have since put a new pickguard on it that a club member made, but I do love the rat rod look of a bass. I prefer the term rat rod over road worn. It's more accurate, to me.

At the urging of 58kites. Here are a few pics of new to me Peavy Fury. After a couple of hours on it. I m blown away by how well this plays and sounds. It feels great. It's light. Probably less than 8.5 lbs. The serial number tells me it's a 1993. I had plans to mod it right away. With either Geezer or SD SPD-1. Both of which i have laying around. But dammit, i just might play it as is for awhile. I have rehearsal tmorrow and gig Friday. It might happen. The tone knob is very sensitive. A 1/10 turn from zero sounds like it's 50% tone on. The other 90% turn does less. It's fine as long as I know how to caress it. Minor minor issues. The corner of pups cover is sharp! It hurts resting my thumb on it. And the E string saddle screw is also sharp. These are easily remedied. The tone is mostly consistent over entire neck. The normal 5th fret C note on D string is a little dead. Anyways, i m very happy. What a bargain for a high caliber workhouse of an instrument.

That’s just the cover. Inside I believe you’ll find you need a socket wrench like in some Gibson guitars, not an Allen key.
Super good condition early 90's Fury. Congrats. We refer to these as Gen3 Fury's.
Folks, this proves there are still great condition basses out there. Be patient, and they turn up.
Because you posted so many pictures, I'll give you a club member number without you even asking.

The one thing you come to love about Peavey basses is CONSISTENCY. Unlike the proverbial "You need to play 30 Fenders to find one good one" is not the case with Peavey. EVERY single USA made Peavey is consistent. Hartley Peavey had a philosophy of producing the best product that every musician can afford and he stayed true to that. They are some of the BEST production basses ever made.
I can't wait to see what your next one will be, but like you said, take your time and ENJOY the Fury. It is a top shelf bass and deserves to be courted.

That Koa TL-6, freshly oiled in the sunshine...
Just curious—has anyone here with a Dyna Unity or TL series routed in or added another battery box to these? I know that covers are now available via 3-D printing. Mine is intact but I was just wondering if anyone else has actually replaced the whole stock box with something else that worked out.

Our sorely missed brother Mech would ignore the battery box completely, he'd just re-locate the battery clip to inside the control cavity.
A fine example of the old ways working every bit as good as the new.
