Simple, good sounding, solid, and durable.

Is that Fender flats I'm seeing ?

Yup, I like 'em, got a couple sets with a bass I bought.
I also like GHS Pressurewounds.
Gonna try a set of tapewounds, I think I will like them.
Not sure what brand to try though.

Looks like a fantastic bass, nice color, nice figuring on the neck, nice score.
The slant SF sounds awesome to my ears.

I'm curious. Is there an equivalent Jazz bass made by Peavey? Or another brand that punches in the same ballpark?

Decided to pass on the Candy Red Dyna bass pictured earlier. Seller said it had a hump in fretboard,and not able to lower action,even after using the micro tilt,which he said he had tried,and couple other issues he mentioned. Found a decent looking 83 T20 here about 150 miles roundtrip? Has the original control knobs,and the slant pickup,Midnight Red? Like the Fury, it's use of ceramic magnet pickups gives an increased output leading some folks to dub them "Fender Killers". MGR Duluth has a pretty nice blue for $500.

Really thought a rosewood fretboard would look better than maple against the natural finish body.

I think that bass looks cool either way! I like a Rosewood neck though. Nicely done!

Ha Agreed! They do dim and can be turned off. It was a cheap mod. Wouldn't run them if I was at a place with pro lighting, the 5050 LEDs would take away from that.

NO Affiliation, But I own the EXACT bass. Same color, and it is THE growliest jazz I've ever owned. So, if you want a Geddy growl, this is it AND it's a Peavey Milli. I will NEVER sell mine.

Having owned T-40s with both types I'm of the opinion there's no real difference.

The blades in the toaster are below plastic. Want to sound like blades just raise the pickup to the same point as the exposed blades would sit.
