Grain on that 5 string body is nothing special, I'd go with a BXP neck and move the bridge.

They may have some of the flame tops left. Besides, I can always put my own finish on the unfinished neck and make it look how I want. I like 35" scale for a 5'er also.

I have a GV that I'd trade for a BXP neck
How you finish the neck is immaterial.
A 34" scale length BXP will require the bridge moved forward, that will leave the through body string holes exposed. Not an issue with the pictured Millennium 5 body, since there's no grain worth bothering about you can just fill the holes then use a solid colour to finish.
Those exposed holes would look terrible with a flamed top so if you do snag a flamed top ; let's hope you and @MNAirHead can reach a mutual agreement over a GV/BXP trade. No moving bridges with a GV neck
If you are in the Peavey Appreciation group on Facebook, Amber Harbour, who lives in Meridian, MS has a ton of old Peavey stock.
If you go back to my original post, I was asking if the BXP neck would work on the USA body, there is a price difference, and if it fit I would not have to mess with finishing it. Since there is a scale length difference, I would rather finish the neck than fill holes and redrill new ones for the bridge.
Tempting, but not quite a strong enough reason to get back onto Facebook...
I just follow bass groups, musicians and look for deals on Facebook Marketplace. It is only made to be what you want it to be.
Sensible approach.
One thing, I'd advise caution if you're offered a birds eye maple neck. While they're pretty, they're also quite weak; hence Peavey adding the stiffening rods. Those 'quite weak' necks have been in a storage bin, unsealed, for the last 20 years; with no temperature or humidity control for the last 12 of those years.
Ask for pictures with a straight edge, held tight to at least the fretboard edge, don't want a warped or twisted neck sent your way

Exactly...I have found excellent deals on all kinds of music gear on there numerous times....both in various FB groups and on FB marketplace. there is a Peavey Tiger Eye Millennium on there right now for $400...its 3 hours from me...I have sold many basses on there as well....2 of them sold in 15 mins. And Amber lists some great deals in the Peavey group, and she is easy to reach on there if youre looking for something specific.
I do not think she had any of the Birdseye maple. 99.9% sure they are the plain maple. Also, she says they are unfinished BUT could they actually be finished. I have never had one in my hands. The Peavey literature says they have a "ultra satin" finish so maybe that lead her to believe they are unfinished? For anyone that has one, please chime in.
I have purchased two other Peavey necks from Amber and they have been perfect. She is really good about being upfront if anything she sells has any type of blemish or is not 100%

So one of the main reasons I left FB was because of all the judgmental people there, and now I'm getting judged for not being there
?!? (I'm joking with you - see the winky face? Really - it's a JOKE!)But seriously, I feel I'm missing absolutely nothing by not being on FB any more. There aren't enough people that I care to keep up with there to fill my feed, and their algorithm just fed me tons of garbage. FB Marketplace isn't offering anything I can't find elsewhere - specifically Amber posts things on Reverb as well, so if I really needed something Peavey I could reach her there (or here, for that matter).
I get my bass fix here on TB, this thread fills my need for Peavey Eye Candy, and I'm happy as Larry!
