I would have thought this has been posted enough to verify my T45 love …
Do you think the seller fairly disclosed the condition of the piece? Were pictures taken at angles that hid flaws instead of exposing them?
Not for verification, just for fun, I never tire of seeing a nice vintage Peavey bass and that's a beauty of beast!

Just did a winter refresh and conditioning on my Peavey USA Cirrus Redwood 5. Cleaned and oiled fretboard, neck, and h.s. Installed a set of the USA Hipshot Ultralight tuning machines, a D'Addario clipless micro tuner, a set of gold knobs from a Sandberg California, and a fresh set of NYXLs. Also, scored this really nice wide brown leather Cirrus strap from a fellow TBer.
It really shines now! I am looking for a set of heavy weight, gold knobs with maybe Abalone tops to tie in with the 12th fret marker inlay. Anyone have a recommendation for knobs like this?

Traded for this 1987 Peavey Dyna bass,should have it sometime after Thanksgiving when previous owner can get it shipped as promised. Decent condition according to pictures and description from what the seller says.

Are international bodies and necks compatible with vintage USA models? Specifically, would this body work with an '87 Fury neck? Or, a Warmoth short scale conversion? @XsoGol have you ever used an international body?
Our sorely missed brother Ronnie (mech) had a T-40 with a Milestone 4 neck
I've paired up Millennium AC necks with Foundation bodies with no issue, also used one of those necks on a Zodiac DE.
Since Foundation and 2nd/3rd gen Furys used the same necks I imagine Millennium necks would work there as well, scratchplate can be trimmed to hide any minor discrepancies.

Just remember, unless the body and neck came from the factory joined together; always expect to do some fettling.
You may get lucky and things just fall into place but never bet on it, even $800 100% official Fender replacements carry this heads up (in red box).
You'll find the same small print heads up with AllParts, Mighty Mite etc.
Yep. There are no guarantees with neck/body fit. It's good to know how to make necessary adjustments and such to finagle the fit for the best set up/performance.
I have put together partscasters that required neck heel and/or pocket and/or bridge saddle modification to work properly. My parts Tele, "Party," was testament to knowing how to assemble and tweak random wooden parts to work as they should-it required some shaving and sanding on both the pocket and heel. Same with a couple frankensteins my friends and I put together in the 80s: most notably putting a late 60s Tele neck on a Hondo Flying V body. We had to do some neck pocket sanding, redrill the neck screws and shim up.
I have also put together partscasters that screwed together and set up perfectly, like it was an intentional assembly from the factory. T42.5, FoundRiot and RicRiot were like this, (no surprise) as it was just swapping bodies and necks from the same era that were known to be compatible. Barry Covidcaster was a pleasant surprise, but the Eden body did pattern off of a pretty standard, 60s Strat specification and it was a legit Fender neck for baritone conversion.

I can abosolutely say "sometimes"
neck heel profiles changed (sometimes)... scale changed (sometimes)
I made one of the silliest trades with a cult member a few months ago... I had a millenium body... he had a millenium neck... we traded necks (I sent him a USA GV) -- why? Neck heel was the same... good fit... scale was off... after a few minutes of testing --- figured it was easiest just to put it together as the engineers planned
Overall, I've had some stellar imports. I have a hunch that "crafted in USA" = transitioning to overseas production.
I've had some early indonesian Milestones that were better than my USA Pbass... I've also played some turds
I'm holding a Millenium BXP right now that feels like my USA Millenium...
