Gotta apologize about this one folks, looks like these are actually 20mm instead of the 19mm needed for peaveys. One of the reviews claimed they were actually 19mm but the manufacturer must have corrected that at some point, these are a true 20mm.

I'd be curious about the timeline. Was the Verdine released when the Sarzo Cirrus was released and were the Verdines leftover Sarzos?
I'll leave this to someone smarter.... it's been a VERY long time since I've dabbled in 4 strings.

The Verdine was WAY later. It’s kinda funny, since Verdine’s signature bass was another guy’s signature bass, which itself was VERY similar to the brand guy #1 used to play. See: Aria.

The Aria and Peavey may look alike but they play and sound completely different. To me at least.
Funny you should say that. My mixer records to thumb drive. I was listening to a gig from about November, and my GV was leaning kind of Wal era Geddy, which didn’t hurt my feelings at all.
Wilkinson are cheap and available in two or three days to your door.
The saddles fit great for replacements on the Peavey trapezoidal bridge.
Haha. Sarzo was all over the place with endorsements, etc... Would not be surprised if Peavey had a bunch of Sarzo husks still awaiting final assembly after he jumped ship to the next brand.

has anyone compared a unity to sarzo/verdine?

When did Peavey shorten the overall length of the Cirrus? Also, is there a way to lower the gain from the control cavity of a Cirrus 5?
I got my '85 Peavey dealers package today, and will scan and post the bass pages later.
But, I wanted to share something I learned - the Patriots, well the '85 Patriots at least, had 8" radius necks. I prefer a highly radiused neck on both bass and guitar - and I suspect this is why I like the Peavey so much. Its not immediately discernable in the hands, like "hey this has 1.5" tighter radius", but I have been loving it and I think this is likely part of it.

Almost all of my Peaveys have had 8" radius fretboards.
